What grabbed me was the front cover. They mustn't have been allowed to use actual pics of the Beatles and Brian or their budget wasn't enough so they just used a cartoon type drawing. But at least they got the guitars correct and Paul as a leftie.

Though Eppy dressed as some sort of half matador over a suit and tie is pretty weird and I don't really get the point. Maybe they were trying to give him a Sgt Peppers look but it's pretty jacked up

Never heard of the Emporer of Liverpool before...was that an actual historical office? Learn something new every day

Bob Wooler, who was noted for his puns, called Brian the "Nemporer"

Billy Liddell was known as the Emperor of Merseyside from 1950-60. For soccer fans, which I know nothing about. lol (But he was mentioned on the Forum before because Rory Storm was such a big soccer fan.) www.billyliddell.com/article/3604

Yesterday was Brian's birthday. The campaign to fund a statue in the city centre is gathering pace.

I walked down Whitechapel today, and they were busy digging the foundations to install the new statue. Details here I guess the unveiling with take place during Beatles Week
