There is a particular feature on this track which makes it unique among all Beatle songs.
Hint-- it has to do with the lead vocal....

Only 14 words in the Lyric.
By the way can I add that this is a great song.

Lennon used the white noise generator from a Moog synth to get the howling wind effect.
Do I get a prize ?

First of all what a great track. You can hear just how adaptable the band was this is really heavy rock with added blues and it is a truly underrated piece. The bass is almost Sabbath like years before they make their breakthrough, you could also claim it is a grunge rock track 20 years ahead of that genre. Does someone accidently shout behind Lennon's vocals.

No one has got it so far-- listen carefully to the lead vocal. No time to listen to the Paul outtake now.

Congrats-- someone is playing the melody note for note on guitar along with John's vocal. As far as i can tell, this is the only Beatles track where this method is used.

Yippee I worked it out. This track is now going round and around on my head. I do wonder why it ends so abruptly.

It did have an ending at 8:04, but John had them cut it off at exactly 7:44. Probably another thing that wasn't ever done on another Beatle song. It was also the last song on Side One of the 'Abbey Road' lp which brought that side to abrupt end too.
