Do you know what is weird. Just looked at the official UK singles and LP charts. Bowie's LP' are everywhere with Black star at number 1 and after many best of's taking chart placing Hunky Dory is next. Looking at the singles which is a chart I stopped following years ago Heroes is the biggest entry but my goodness the split between the Lp and singles markets are astonishing. Elvis Beatles and Bowie dominating the UK LP charts and the likes of One direction and Bieber in the singles.

I bet considerably less than Elvis, The Beatles and Bowie.

No idea on sales figures. I actually think record sales would go up if you had the same level of access to a store as you did 30 years ago.

Every time an artist dies, if he/she was a BIG name you'll see this happening. It was funny I remember when Janis died my boss sent all her records back thinking he would be stuck with them. Here there was a run on them and he couldn't get a replacement order for them for months! Yep he knew as much about the record business as Obama does on running a country! lol

I loved Bowie, truly the icon of a generation. Rebel Rebel has over 200 plays on my iPod

Is that something commercially available. No, just something I made in my spare time as a David remembrance. "when I nod my head, hit it" R I P David
