Well this is probably my favourite the Rickenbacker 425, only 145 reissued in 1999 in JG Black and mine is in my avatar. View AttachmentI have an original 1963 one of those in jetglo, quite a quirky guitar to play

Of ones that I have played, admittedly not that many, I like the Sonic Blue strats. I have one of those. You'll have to pop up a pic Amadeus. Here's mine.... View Attachment View AttachmentHere's a rare picture I found of John using it at a rehearsal in Feb.'65. View AttachmentThis is my sonic blue strat it has a beautiful birds eye maple neck on it, never been much of a strat player though i always intended to make a rocky and never did

By far my favourite Beatles type guitar is this 1966 Epiphone Casino, Identical spec to John's

Someone in my neighbourhood had a Ringo Ludwig drum kit for sale for $400 on Kijiji. My wife would have killed me, but man that would have looked great next to my fake Hofner. Then I'd have to get a set of George & John Rickenbacker's. Would have been a good start! If it's a genuine 60's black oyster pearl Downbeat or Super Classic you should have bought it, it's a steal for $400 I have seen the Jazz festival snares the same as the ones that Ringo used go for up to $4000 on their own.

Ya, I'm guessing it wasn't the real thing! I don't even play drums or Bass (and own a fake Hofner) but would absolutely love a Rickebacker 401Bass and not to mention John & Georges Rickenbackers. A boy could dream! Just waiting to win the Lottery so I can get those instruments and a 1961 Corvette. Oh well, back to the Honda!

Hey Bongo, if you are dreaming about having George's 12 String Ric, make sure to dream about the old-style, not the new style like McGuinn played. www.rickenbacker.com/model.asp?model=360/12C63 is the link to the George Ric. www.rickenbacker.com/model.asp?model=360/12 is the link to the 360-12 that George played on the 1966 tour, as well as the one McGuinn started out with before moving on to the 370-12 with its three pickups, just because liked they way they looked.

My job doesn't let me play the lottery. Long story. My money fantasies are about inheritances that were long-forgotten.
But if I ever inherit boat-load of money, I'll remember you Bongo. Just don't hold your breath. I have heard that once you place an order for a Ric, it takes months before you actually get the guitar.
