I met her once at a MCA Record Party back in 1973. Back then she was one of the top female acts they had. I got to shake her hand and talk a bit. R I P Olivia
I'll always remember her for this song..... I think she started the craze for women going to the gym with that song!

Oh what a treat to have met her. I can recall the shock when that track came out. It is actually really wonderful if you see that last scene.

A 'shout out' to Bill Pittman. Not dead yet, just the opposite, the OLDEST famous living musician that probably no one has ever heard of in the world today! At 101 years old and part of the famous LA Wrecking Crew session men. He started out with Phil Specter and his 'wall of sound' session crew in the mid 50's and played guitar on Phil's first hit 'To Know Him Is To Love Him'. He's probably played with every famous singer in history! From Elvis to Sinatra, to the Beach Boys to the Byrds, he's on some of their records! Those TV theme songs too! Bonanza, to One Adam 12!! And in the movies, Elvis' 'Blue Hawaii'! The list is just too long!! Bill Pittman passed away yesterday at the age of 102! RIP Bill Pittman. Also RIP Lamont Dozier, aged 81. Lamont was one third of the iconic song-writing trio Holland-Dozier-Holland, who are known for co-writing huge hits for Motown acts such as The Four Tops, The Supremes and The Isley Brothers.
Their song writing credits also include 'Reach Out I'll Be There', 'Where Did Our Love Go and 'Baby I Need Your Love'.

BRIAN EPSTEIN died 55 years ago today. R I P Brian In his locked bedroom on 27 August 1967. Brian was discovered by his butler who, having been unable to rouse Epstein via his locked bedroom door, called Epstein's PA, Joanne Petersen. She attended and failing to rouse Epstein called his doctor who, along with the butler, broke down the door and found Epstein in his bed, appearing to be asleep, a book opened near his hand and some digestive biscuits on the nightstand. On realizing he was deceased, the staff swept the house for contraband and then called the police. Epstein was found on a single bed, dressed in pajamas, with various correspondence spread over a second single bed. At the statutory inquest his death was officially ruled an accident, caused by a gradual buildup of Carbrital combined with alcohol in his system. It was revealed that he had taken six Carbrital pills to sleep, which was probably normal for him, but in combination with alcohol they reduced his tolerance. He was 32 years old.

So desperately sad. I rember hearing Fleetwood Mac in the late 1970's with Tusk. That song is so underated. However shortly after that I heard Rumours and was blown away. Over the years I became familiar with all the incarnations of the band and am so sad that a great songwriter has passed away.
R.I.P Christine.

Of course her later career in Fleetwood Mac produced some outstanding music. She will be greatly missed. RIP

That song Brew has a history of its own. Written and sung by the late great Etta James!
