THE LEFT BANKE formed in 1965 in New York City. (I always thought they were from the mid-west)
1)Jeff Winfield (guitar) died in 2009.
2)Michael Brown (piano) died from heart disease on March 19, 2015, at age 65. Brown had been writing new material and planned to participate in the 2015 reunion of The Left Banke with Steve Martin Caro and George Cameron. Brown's funeral and memorial service was held on March 25, 2015 at Fort Lee Gospel Church in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
3)George Cameron (drums) born October 16, 1947 in Manhattan, New York, died of cancer at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York, on June 24, 2018 at age 70.
4)Steve Martin Caro (lead singer)born 1948 died on January 14, 2020 age 71.
That just leaves Tom Finn (bass) left.

BTW, the Primettes often performed gigs with a male vocal group called the Primes. The Primes became the Temptations.

R.I.P. Cy Tucker
A Merseybeat singer has died after reportedly suffering from coronavirus.
Cy Tucker, 77, died on Tuesday after falling ill with the symptoms of Covid-19 a week before, the Liverpool Echo reported.
The Liverpool musician was part of the city’s Merseybeat scene and performed in the pubs and clubs in the city for about 60 years.
With band Earl Preston and the TTs, he played on line-ups alongside the Beatles in the 1960s.
Mr Tucker’s family told the Echo: “What makes his loss even more heart-breaking is the fact that it could have been so easily avoided had it not been for coronavirus.
“In less than a week we have gone from having a healthy and energetic man to one who is no longer here.”
Tributes were paid to Mr Tucker from fellow musicians.

Sad to hear of the death of Little Richard, one of the most influential stars of rock 'n Roll. I was fortunate to catch his act a few years back, and he was still a powerhouse. One of my favourite videos...

I was truly saddened to hear of the death of Astrid Kirchherr, at the age of 81. Astrid was famously one of the "exis" who befriended the Beatles while they were playing at the Kaiserkeller, Hamburg in 1960. A talented photographer she took the iconic pictures of the lads at the Heiligergeistfeld.... She became engaged to Stu Sutcliffe, who tragically died in April 1962. Eventually Astrid married Gibson Kemp, drummer with the Dominoes, but the marriage didn't last. She published several photobooks, including Astrid Kirchherr with The BeatlesAstrid visited Liverpool several times, and was fond of the Merseybeat scene. Astrid was a beautiful human being, who was an influential part of the Beatles story. RIP

Composer of numerous movie themes, Ennio Morricone has sadly passed away. Among his famous Western movie themes was this, where the music is actually part of the plot....
I also remember this beautiful theme...
