Wow, if it's the real deal that would be a great thing to own. Should be in Beatles Museum or something.

I'm sure the R&R Museum and the Hard Rock Café will be bidding on it. Maybe Paul Allen too. We'll see this Saturday.

Well the tape recorder did not meet its reserve and sell. I remember reading about it being up for sale in the mid-1990's and it not selling then either.

Any idea roughly what the reserve figure was Rocky?

Well, why spend the money. It doesn't do anything that another tape recorder can't do. There's no sort of ectoplasm emanating from it that makes it special or makes it do tricks. If anything, it belongs in a Beatle museum. That's where it may be worth something.
I always think in terms of, if I won it and got it home, I'd look at it for a few minutes, then say "that's really neat", go and play my STAR CLUB album and that's about it really. Could be because I've never been a memorabilia sort of collector. So kill me.

Yeah something like that should be in the Rock & Roll Museum for the masses to look at.
But it is neat to see stuff like that come up for auction.
