Capitolism. Italian pressing of BALLADS. Of course to those in the UK, Italy's not that far away. You can walk there. But us over here have to take a bus. Russian 'Back In The USSR'.

Ya, I grew up with the Capitol stuff too Amadeus, no apologies. Being Canadian our first 3 Albums were different than the US versions, so this is the only reason I have 4 Capitol LPs. Those 3 & the Canadian Magical Mystery Tour LP. But ya, I guess if I was a US citizen, I would probably want the US set. Beatles hated that, so I'm in their camp, not Capitols.
Where do I draw the line, cause next I'd want the full US albums, and US re-releases on Apple, Odeon LPs, Argentine LPs, Lebanon LPs, ect...... But I hear you about being nostalgic! It's a trap to get us to keep buying more...

I'm Can. too. So I have the three can. albums. But by the time I was old enough to care, canada had started pressing the US albums along with the Canadian ones, which was a bit confusing to a kid with no knowledge of how it all worked. All these albums with repeat songs? Even Long Tall Sally had several songs from Beatlemania. So I thought it was normal. Whatever. I love wallowing in my own nostalgia. Especially the scratchy ones.

Nice watches.
Now, I thought I'd be really clever and start looking for Beatles' 78's from India only to find out that folks already are and they go for hundreds of dollars. DANG!

Since I've been back on the collecting scene I've been keeping tabs on certain items on EBay. This transitional copy of 'Please Please Me' with the double 33-1/3 on the label sold last night for a cool £1,550...... How are you supposed to compete with prices like that? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131297879654

Yes I agree, it seems to get harder all the time if you want to complete your collection. If someone has something you need it always seems to be twenty other people that want the same thing. lol
*Hey btw bmp74 did you see that Swatch watch? I was thinking of you when I put that one up. lol

*Hey btw bmp74 did you see that Swatch watch? I was thinking of you when I put that one up. lol Yeah it's a real beauty that Rocky, I don't normally wear a watch but I'd make an exception for that one. I have a Beatle watch somewhere, it's one of those that came with the wooden case in the shape of a guitar, similar to the one below.

That other one next to it, the Yoko Ono one, was designed by her and is supposedly a pic of John's rear for the dial.

Canada got the Let It Be box set. I have a mono Pepper. Canadian of course. Rare Canadian Beatles '65 on red Capitol label. Very few Beatles records got the red label. It was mainly the green one. An example of genuine and counterfeit Vee-Jay stuff. The Beatles Tell All is counterfeit because it was never released in stereo at the time. And the 'Songs, Pictures.....' lying down because, for one thing, the title is wrong and it doesn't have the 3/4 gatefold that the genuine one has. And fake Vee-Jays aren't rainbow label and Introducing The Beatles is separated from The Beatles by the hole on the record itself. The 'Ask Me Why' STEREO version is a pretty rare album. Amadeus I noticed yours was the MONO version, do you have the STEREO version also?

Yes those Canadian Red Label Capitol records are far and few between, but thankfully used record shops & record conventions are making a huge comeback in Canada, so they are easy enough to find at a decent price if you want them. Much harder to find are the retro rainbow from the 80's. I had a bugger of a time finding my Beatlemania stereo record. Rare Canadian Beatles '65 on red Capitol label. Very few Beatles records got the red label. It was mainly the green one.

Yeah Bongo that Beatlemania LP in STEREO is a great score! Congratulations on that one! A long time ago (late 70's) my friend found a Beattles 'Please Please Me' 45rpm for a buck at a flea market and resold it in Goldmine magazine a week later (no ebay back then) for a thousand dollars!!

It was better in certain ways in those days before everybody became an ebay expert. stuff was sort of cheaper BUT harder to find though. But I find a lot of folks on ebay just seem to throw their stuff out there and put on an outrageous price and see if anyone bites. I have an '80's Pink Floyd Atom Heart Mother on the retro rainbow label. And ROCKY, don't worry about the watch. Some more cassettes: early '80's. I played these to death. Just played them over and over. Before I REALLY got into collecting vinyl.

Ohhh Amadeus, I hear ya, on the cassettes. Loved making cassettes for the car when I was a young pup. I'm still considering buying the first 3 Canadian cassettes, but only If I get them cheap. www.capitol6000.com/tapes.html
