The compilation of the tracks is part of the art of the album. As you say Mr Kite, you wouldn't start adding a bit of burnt umber to the Mona Lisa!

This is the point I was trying to make. I am staggered that quality songs never made Lp's Rain was a B Side wasn't it?.
I thought Howard's thoughts on what George did on Within You Without You explained why it was ground breaking and never thought of the recurring use of children's imagery as so clearly part of the fabric of the Lp but it is there for all to see.
Loved part 2 of the concert tonight as well.

Its tricky to start changing Pepper as like a Mona Lisa it is what it is You can`t mess around with masterpieces for it is in hindsight George Martin was`nt to happy about the White album being a double Pepper is masterpiece and it should be left alone in my humble I hope we get all the shanigans with the 50th anniversary of the White album I do think Rain should have been on Revolver though instead of Yellow sub ... Bloody love Steve Hillage I think he mapped out his career on It`s All To Much ... And he even doe`s Getting Better ! I didn't know Steve Hillage also did Getting Better, i'll play it on youtube later. Two of my friends went to see him in Edinburgh years ago and he bought them fish and chips, what a great bloke.

And yes Pothos , Rain was the b side to Paperback Writer , they filmed the promo at Chiswick park but it seems they knocked down the greenhouse and now their is only a plaque. I love the bit in the promo of Rain , if i remember correctly , Ringo is walking towards the camera and in the background peering through the gate are fans watching excitedly.

It was seventy years ago today that Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play.... I just had to say it. (*actually if you go by the original song it was in 1947 that Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play. We just found out about in 1967.

IIRC in the "Rain" and "Paperback Writer" videos, Paul had a chipped tooth from a recent moped wreck. He must have got it capped shortly afterward.
