It was my birthday on Monday. Thank you for all the well wishes!! Anyway Mrs Mustard bought me some lovely presents. However, one of which was late and only arrived today. It is a DVD called The Beatles Live containing the Washington DC 1964 concert, Shea stadium 1965, Paris 1965 and Budokan 1966. All concerts are complete and uncut. Just watched the first two. Although I've seen them before, I haven't seen them in such a complete format before, especially DC. I just find it comical that they are playing to 8000 people and they have to move their own gear round! Even more comical is when Ringo sings I Wanna Be Your Man and Paul has to physically move his own mic stand from the front of the stage and place it next to Ringo's snare for him to sing! Then move it back after he's finished singing! Imagine him doing that now!
Just watching the Paris concert now. Killer version of Shes A Woman just been on!

Happy Belated Birthday, Mr. Mustard!
Or should it be Belated Happy Birthday?
Your post makes me wish there had been a film of the 1966 Memphis concerts, the matinee of which I attended. Chances are, they do exist, but I could not find a satisfactory one of YouTube. I remember Paul starting to sing "She's a Woman" into a mike that wasn't working, so he calmly strolled over the John's mike to sing the rest of the song. I don't remember any stagehands coming out to fix the mike, or turn it on, or whatever. But at least Ringo did have his own mike to sing "I Wanna Be Your Man."
I'll have to look for that DVD. The Budokan performance should be interesting. The concert for the Japanese can't be too much different that the concerts in Memphis.
