Well, very nice. So where do you all stay when you go to Liverpool for Beatle week? Mr Mustard's house? Just wondering. I figger by 2029 I'll have saved up enough to go myself (possibly with Mrs A.) if we're not all dead by then. So who is who in the above photograph? I already recognise Al, John and Michael, but the rest? Ha ha! Even if I had the room for everyone, there are some heavy party people who don't stop until about 6am every night. Then it would be a 20 minute taxi ride to my house. The 'not local' people stay within easy staggering distance from Mathew street or the Adelphi hotel as part of their package. Get saving Amadeus. You're missing a splendid time!

Yes. It sounds like a harmless bit of fun. Are there vendors and the like at these things? I've only gone to one Beatles convention here in Toronto, I think in '93 or '94. It was in a huge convention centre with various rooms for live music, space for vendors to hawk their wares at 4 times the regular price, etc etc. Julia Baird was at that one.

Absolutely, there is a massive room given over to vendors on Convention Sunday along with various rooms with bands on simultaneously, an interview room, film room etc This year was an albums convention with a different band playing every album in chronological order in the main ballroom. Of course Beatleweek is now a whole week of events at different sites. You gotta get here man!

Just like to thank all the members of the forum for their hospitality during Beatleweek. It was great to catch up with Al and other members. Think it has taken over a week to recover from such concentrated drinking and late nights. nevertheless will be looking forward to repeating the experience next year.

Hi Everyone! Well, Beatle Week is fast approaching... time definitely speeds up as you get older, and in this case it's a good thing! So if you are planning on going to Beatle Week this August, whether it's your 1st or 21st time, please do come and meet up with your fellow Beatle Forum members - this has been a huge success over the years (I think this might be our eighth year now!) and it has enabled me to meet so many great friends... and a bloke from Manchester! But seriously, not only is it a great way to meet like-minded people from across the world, you will make many new friends that you will more than likely keep bumping into over the course of Beatle Week and future Beatle Weeks! So here are those all-important details: Meet on up Saturday 24 August at 12:00 midday in The Grapes, Mathew Street, then at around 1:30 pm (ish), move onto either The Cavern Club or Pub (depending who's playing)! If you would like my mobile number, do please feel free to PM me. Really looking forward to seeing you all there again this year... even that bloke from Manchester! AL

You're a legend Rob - you lasted longer than I did most nights and I only (ONLY???) made it till 5:32am on the all-nighter!! It took me well over a week to recover and I was "jet-lagged" for ages! Roll on August 2014!!! AL
