Me and our lead guitarist played some of our own stuff at The Cavern the other night (saturday night).
Was a right good thing. We'd played the back room as a band before and I'd done a cover with some guy on the main stage but Saturday topped it all off.
Their resident guy who plays every fri and saturday invited us up.
We were down for several hours Friday evening and doing backing vocals for all the covers he was doing and then we were doing vocal lead guitar parts. (We were drunk) But I think he liked it cos it added to the atmosphere and it was busy.
Then he came up to us and said if we fancied popping back on the saturday night, we could get up and do some of our own.
Really top bloke and I can recommend you seeing his Beatles acoustic stuff if your ever that way cos he is great.
picture to follow....!

The closest I ever got to the Cavern stage was doing an introduction for Jan Owen last year! Loved every second though!!!
