Hi Can someone help me with this Beatles album? I was given what looks like a Japanese Beatles album that is rather odd, I think. The writing looks Japanese, but it might be another language. It is NOT in a cardboard cover, but one made of paper with a clear plastic covering. I'm almost certain it's the white album, but the odd part is the name, which is The Beales, there is no "T". It is spelled that way everywhere on the album. It has the 4 guys pictured on the cover, but they spelled the name wrong, I think. Has anyone seen or heard of this album? My brother gave it to me, and said he bought it back in the 60's or 70's in San Francisco ( He can't really remember when ).
Thanks

It's not unusual for Asian pressings to be put in paper bags, so it might as well be Asian. Plus the misspelling points in that direction too. On the expert board I have given two links to sort things out.

Hi I was able to take 2 pictures. I guess it's Chinese, not Japanese ( maybe Korean? ) It's a 2 album set. Both covers are the same, except the other has the song names in black, not red. Thanks

Very obviously the White Album. Unauthorized counterfeit, maybe (check the label)? Or was this sort of packaging usual in Asia?

I found this on that other forum:
So, Taiwanese product from 1969 to suit the American GI's stationed there. Counterfeit. First disc probably goes under the name LM 2237.
