I have read in a drummers forum that Brian Epstein offered the job for drumming with the Beatles to Bobby Graham, got rejected and then he offered to Ringo. Graham stated the same in his website. The Beatle books I have say nothing about this and couldn't find anything on the web. ¿Can you help me, please?

Hello Dhango and a very warm welcome to the forum.
A few drummers lay claim to this accolade. Johnny Hutchinson, for one, lays claim to this. I don't buy any of this though from any of them and Hutch personally told Mrs Mustard this was the case!
Imagine the situation; The Beatles secure a record deal with George Martin. George Martin doesn't like Pete Best. The Beatles go to Epstein and say 'we want a new drummer. Can you find us one Brian?' He says 'yes, I will ask around'. Asks lots of drummers who refuse even though The Beatles have a recording contract. Then finally Ringo accepts.
I'm not having this at all. Surely it's more conceivable that they always had Ringo in mind.
