Hi. It's my first day here. Take it easy on me. I have my own opinions and value others' opinions. I've been a Beatles fan since I was wearing diapers (and I don't mean last week). My mother told me that when I learned to walk the first place I walked to was her Hi-Fi set so I could play a Beatles record. I was 4 years old when I saw "Revolver" in the New Release bin at the store and I talked mom into buying it. That actually wasn't hard, because mom got me into The Beatles in the first place. I tell people I was released in 1962, just a few months before "Love Me Do". I'm glad to have stumbled into this forum because people in my life don't always share my enthusiasm for the Beatles. My wife couldn't understand why I needed the mono box so badly. "But many of the mixes are different than the stereo versions" did not satisfy her! But I don't listen exclusively to The Beatles. Other musical interests include Bob Dylan, The Doors, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Gentle Giant, Genesis, Grateful Dead, Hendrix, Hot Tuna, Jefferson Airplane, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Pink Floyd, The Who, Yes and Frank Zappa. I'm also a huge Monty Python fanatic... Attachments:

Welcome to the forum. Some weeks are busier than others but you can be guaranteed a good conversation. (Usually). So, is 'Studio Tan' your favorite album or is it 'Lather'? For me, it's 'One Size Fits All'. I have about 50 of Zappa's albums. As well as a good chunk of the bands you mentioned. Check out the 'Prog' thread here and get caught up and join the argument. Is it YES without Benoit?

Favorite FZ albums? Hard to pin one down...I really love Frank's '70's albums. "One Size Fits All" is a great one.
And Yes without Jon Anderson is ALMOST Yes, but it will never be completely. As good as Davidson & David are and were, it's not quite Yes. But at the same time, a band with Squire, Howe & White is pretty good no matter what. They should have just formed a whole new band.
I should be here often...Thanks for the welcome!

rdnzl. A track from Zappa's Studio Tan. On the original vinyl for some reason, Warner Bros. decided it should be spelled Redunzle. When Zappa remixed/mastered it for CD he corrected the spelling.
Now You Know.

I'm still new...but I feel I'm gradually getting older here. Starting to feel like I'm part of this! After all, we all know that The Beatles changed the world! Isn't it funny how some people who don't care for The Beatles don't believe that they changed anything?
