Well another Football season has finished . So here is my unbiased opinion of all ups and downs of the best league in the world .
Man City . You cant polish a turd comes to mind . Lottery winners dont allways get what they want and if you turn up for a season in the league thinking that the trophy is already yours and it`s just a matter of winning everything . The result . Not winning anything and "sacking" the manager before a Cup Final who won you the league for the first time in 40 odd years .
Chelsea . Sack your manager who won your first Champions league and the F.A. Cup . Get a new manager . Boo him all season and He wins a European Trophy and a Champions league spot . Then get rid of him . ?
Arsenal . Slag the best manager in your history and then jump up and down as he gets you Champions league football .
Wigan . I am a bit sad for them , win the F.A. Cup against a billion pound team and go down . Football eh ?
Spurs . Great football by Gareth Bale F.C. Will he be there next season . No chance .
Swansea . Win a cup and then not turn up for the rest of the season .
The also rans . Not much to shout about . I`m still shocked that Villa did`nt go down
The Champions . Man Utd. I got to say that the signing of Robin Van Pursie was really the clincher for me to lift the trophy this season . The Final word . Sir Alex Ferguson . Not loved by anyone outside Old Trafford . But with 38 trophies some fantastic memories over the last 26 years , I will always remember that night at Old Trafford when I saw my first league champions season . I was happy that night and I would have taken that and not won another for the rest of my life . 13 times . Football . I just love it .

So, England fail at another tournament. Who'd have thought? Didn't see that coming!
The experts (and Henry Winter) are suggesting that a 'full strength' Under-21s, chock full of Man. C./Liverpool/Man. U./Chelsea/Arsenal/Tottenham reserves, would have probably won (oh yeah!) the tournament. Funny how many of these club's players were conspicuous by their absence.
It's these clubs who are the problem, not the solution. The senior team, who are chock full of 1st team/reserve players at the same clubs, routinely fail in International Tournament football as well. They might not even qualify for the next one!
Contrary to current popular opinion, International Tournament football 'IS' a step up, and these guys have failed to step up to it year on year for decades now.
Time for the F.A. to send a general letter to Man. C./Man. U./Chelsea/Arsenal etc. etc. saying 'thanks for all the wonderful service your world class players have given us but you concentrate on the 'Champions' League and we'll look elsewhere for our International teams in future.'
Surely that's a win-win situation for everyone, and how could the performances of the national team be any worse?

The root of English Football being crap is`nt just over the last twenty years . Blameing clubs for the poor teams over the years is a bit of sour grapes from anyone who dos`nt support the top clubs .
Back in the late 90`s Man Utd had 5 players playing for the England team a Wembley . Most of the match the fans were singing "Stand Up If You Hate Man U. " Not really the kinda thing you want from your own supporters is it . Remember the Beckham senario , Hope your kids die of Cancer etc....
I have no intrest in my national team , I dont ever want to be , remember how the fans on tourmenants smashing up resturants and putting our counrty to shame ? Better off watching Cricket national team , no anti Utd stuff going on there .
Football is a big money making buisness today and if I had just payed out 30 million for a player who goes on International duty and comes back injured and I chasing the league and the champions league I would be devastated or even find myself at the end of a trophyless season out of work .
As I`ve said on here many times the root of the problem is the F.A.
If you put money into the roots of Football , like France you can develop a team and within four years win the World cup and go on to win the Euros .
When the national team is run by people who know and understand Football , then there may be a chance .
Im just sick and tired of hearing very poor excuses how the big clubs are not doing this and not doing that .
A post I made earlier .
F.A.
It stands for what England win . I guess Now I have an idea of how to get a job at this place . It goes something like this .
"I would like a job at the F.A. please ?"
What do you know about the English game , grassroots , have you ever thought of how go about the job with your soul intent on making the English game the best in the world ?"
"No.I just want to get free tickets and line my pockets with loads of money , not put it into Football communities , Schools or anything that will help our next Football generations to play football the way it should be ."
"You have got the job!"
Now , you may say Thats not how it`s run !, how do you know ? . Erm . I do . I have not got the time or the skill at typing to put them all down . But then All I have to do is put down what England have done almost 50 years . Thats right folks . Nothing .
Ok here is one for you . Who was without doubt a brilliant English coach who won the league with Derby County and Notts Forest , 2 clubs that were just a little bit better that Man City before the Arabs turned up 2 European cups ! Spoke his mind about the F.A and without doubt the best man manager of his generation . Every English man in the country wanted him as Englands manager Brain Clough . Did he get the job ? No . The F.A didn`t want to hear the truth about how they didnt have a clue about the job they were in .
So as long as the greedy corperate numpties at the F.A. are running our nations game England will never win a Peanut .
Players And Managers
Back In the day in the School yard your dream was to one day play for England . Nothing else came close (except for me it was Man Utd ) To be proud to wear the shirt for your country
Those days have long gone . It`s all about getting a better Magazine deal on the wedding of the bimbo you met on some crap T,V, sports comedy (?) show .
Even better a great boot deal and get yourself on the latest X Box Int. Football game .
Players have for some strange reason think they are better than the club and now even Int. Team they play for (check out Bobbers Holland )
There are many examples down the last few years . Remember Alan Shearer and his tackle on Neil Lennon . Got away with it as apparently he said "Ban me and I wont play for England Neh Neh Na Neh Neh !"
Not the kind of spirit you want in the dressing room .
As for Managers ! Well I have a few stories that will make want to support Ireland .
Remember Sven ( like you would ever forget ) We are going to a world cup ! Right need some goal scorers Owen ( injured) Take Him ! Rooney !(injured) Take Him ! Wallcott ! (Not even played 1 single game in the Prem ) Take Him ! Heskey anyone ? Scary isnt it .Sometimes you really think that the F.A stick a hell of a lot of money on England going out in the Quarters .
Kevin Keegan ? Not enough that he had a breakdown live on National T.V. ( I Loved It !) The F.A. wanted him as the man who will lead England to lower depths on Football sucicide. Oh yeh sorry Capello A racist captain anyone and not one to be shy of going with your team mates Wags .(allegedly)
Bye Bye Fabio .

REAL FOOTBALL ALERT
Yesterday saw the draw for the Extra Preliminary Round of the F.A. Cup on August 17th! I've already earmarked the game I'm going to and, irony of irony, it's the day that the bloated Premiership begins.
Catch the competition at its most interesting stage before Moneybags United, Moneybags City, Arsenal-third and Charmless squeeze the life blood out of it, as they always do, in January.

Football season starts TODAY although, strangely, no one seems to have told London as all the Division 3 and 4 clubs are away.
Leaving the unseemly scrap for that vital 4th place (!!!!)/unseemly scramble to get into the premier league to the all-seater 'customers', here are the predictions:
Division 3 - Brentford Division 4 - Burton Albion or Fleetwood Town Conference - Macclesfield Town Conference South - Chelmsford City Isthmian Premier - Wealdstone Isthmian North - Enfield Town
And here's hoping Arsenal and the England team provide us all with as many laughs as they both did last season!

Arse nal Here again with the unbiased opinions of the season. It was rubbish . What was rubbish Mr Kite? The game itself was really absorbing and, in fairness, Arsenal deserved to win after coming back from being 2 goals down. I thought Hull gave as good as they got and Steve Bruce has the nucleus of a team that could finish in the top 10 next season. Your 'unbiased' opinion has nothing to do at all with the fact that your team didn't win a damn thing this season, has it?
