Sorry Mr M.? Nothing wrong with Leo Sayer's version of this fab song. As for Leo being a 'tosser', I think you're being rather harsh. I actually met the guy recently when he appeared at a local fayre and he was lovely. You couldn't wish to meet a nicer man. He was only expressing his views

He was only expressing his views Sorry Arthurlee. I stand by what I say. Coming from a fellow professional I think this is a very unprofessional comment to make. As has already been pointed out in this thread, Paul came onstage cold and proceeded to sing something that would normally be a finale song in his nearly three hour set. As a professional and someone who has been in the music industry for as long as he has, Leo Sayer should know this. So yes, Paul hardly covered himself in glory that night but to say what Leo Sayer did is unjustified and disrespectful to someone he is clearly influenced by. The Let It Be cover by Leo Sayer is a good version and that was my point in posting it. Together with this and all the other Beatles songs he's covered he is so obviously influenced by McCartney yet he chooses to slag him off in a public forum. So yes........tosser!

Just to put my 2 cents worth in. Leo Sayer maybe correct regarding his comments of Macca But I would much rather go & see Paul in bad voice than go see Sayer in good voice, spare us that for god sake!
