Can't wait for the X-files but we have to watch it on Channel 5 which means adverts every 5 minutes! Similar to Fox TV I suppose. Still, Channel 5 are showing a series of Essential episodes on the lead up to the new season.

So then! What did we think of the first episode of the X-files? I have to say I liked it a lot. My only disappointment is it's only going to be six episodes.
I think the show works much better in this format - 45 minutes. For me, although some great scenes, the films never truly worked.

I don't want to spoil the series so far for anyone so I'll only say, the first two weren't so bad, but the werewolf thing didn't work for me and this weeks one was way, way too far out there! Only two left in the series, I only hope they get better.

I liked it . But I was`nt expecting it to be brilliant like back in the day Just good to have X files back just to see the Duo back together and not signing off with that poor last film .

I think you'll enjoy 'Founders Mutation', but that third one is really odd about the were-monster, and this last one 'Home Again' is way, way out there.
Here's the episode titles:
1) My Struggle 2) Founders Mutation 3) Meet The Were-Monster 4) Home Again 5) Babylon 6) My Struggle II

Tonight's the finale! 'My Struggle' part II. No spoilers, just a thumbs up or down. So far... 1) Two thumbs up. 2) One thumb up barely. 3) Two thumbs down. 4) One Thumb down. 5) One thumb up barely. 6) ?
I'm taking it, it's going to be Miller & Einstein if the series continues for another season.

Travel billions of miles avoiding meteor showers radiation, solar flares, burn through the Earth`s atmosphere and then drop straight into the water . No I don`t Talkin of unbelievable I guess we all have watched the new X Files series now ? Well barring one episode (The funny one ) I thought it was very poor . Not going to put any spoilers on here , but what the hell was the point of the 1st episode ? Then they seem to forget all about it until the last episode ?! No sorry , poor scripts and what the hell was all that about with Scully`s mother ?! What was any of it all about ? Why did we get two clone F.B.I. agents thrown in the 5 episode to then turn up again in the last one ? Scully and Mulder ever need any help ? Pointless and the "virus " all started with a man turning up at the hospital that just happen to be where Scully was who had the cure and..... No ... I`m not going on Lets hope that happens to the X Files A,S,A,P! Very disappointed . When we`ve had such great Sci Fi series over the last few years I`m sure they could have had some decent writers who may have saved this mess. Agree ?

The two agents were stuck in there to reprise the series for next season, nothing more than that. Say goodbye to your two favorites. I'm liking the '11-22-63' series so far. I was there (being among the living), so I have a closer attachment to that story.

Yes, overall season 10 was underwhelming. Too much comedy and irreverence in my view. I reckon series 11 will probably happen though.
Started watching it from season one on Amazon prime. The picture quality is amazing. Miles ahead of those DVD box sets that where released a while back. It still has that magic watching it for the umpteenth time. Deep Throat, Squeeze, Conduit, EBE, Tooms, The Erlenmeyer Flask - just done highlights. I love them all. And that's only the first season!

Anyone see '10 Cloverfield Lane' yet? It certainly was different.

Not seen the movie but heard it reviewed on the BBC and someone emailed in to say it should have been called The Bunker or the Cellar. It would have helped to give a more ambiguous feel to the movie. Apparently it is a really good movie.

The same for '10 Cloverfield Lane' it's not a sci-fi film except for the final 10 minutes of film, but still.......
