There was a guitar that George used in the hotel room on their first vist to the U.S. that I have never been able to ID or read about after he used it. It is seen in the video of the 'Beatles First U.S. Vist' and he played a short folk song on it while Ringo and Paul are packing for their return trip to England so I guess the date is Feb. 21 since they left the next morning. Does anyone know anything about it? Where it is today?

Thanx for putting those up beatles4ever. Yep that's the one. I was surprised it wasn't mentioned in Andy's book 'Beatles Gear' (at least I didn't see it in there) or on the website 'BeatleGuitars'. George probably left it there and some bellboy doesn't know he has a guitar worth $100k. lol I'm thinkin' it's maybe an old Washburn? Maybe I can ID it by that old bridge on there. Thanks again.

OK. Here's a couple of possibilities: A Harmony " Stella" type model Or a Weiss? I think the Weiss was a cheap copy of the Harmony which is a cheap beginner guitar to begin with. I discovered a pretty neat site called Craiglist Vintage Guitar Hunt. You'll find all kinds of old more obscure names and instruments. Check it out if you dare.

It's got to be The Stella. The tailpiece is a giveaway.

Yep I have to agree it's a Harmony Stella. Seen one on eBay for $150 made in the early '60's. Leave it to Amadeus to find it under his bed. lol Thanks guys for the answer.
