It was 43 years ago today that the band began to play! ---I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition"

And it will never be re-released as long as any Beatles remain alive. I think they could just re-cut the whole film and make a completely new movie out of the hundreds of hours of reels.
At any rate, I'm glad I have my old VHS copy. Same with Magical Mystery Tour.

That VHS of 'Let It Be' is worth alot! They were up on the roof about 42 minutes total and only half of that has been released, so yeah it would be neat if they would release the whole concert someday and without them switching to people looking up, old men climbing ladders and bobbies trying to be important!

One of my favorite moments between the songs is when John says "Can you hear me, Mother?!??". I never saw footage of this, but I imagine John looking up to heaven at that point.

From what I have read and from what I have seen on YouTube, we are not missing any songs. The 42 minutes on the roof consists of songs done two or three times. What we are missing is alternate takes. And the real, uninterrupted ending of "Get Back."

Rooftop performance:
1) GET BACK 2) GET BACK ("Let It Be" film uses an edit of both versions of "Get Back") 3) DON'T LET ME DOWN ("Let It Be" film) 4) I'VE GOT A FEELING (LIB film and album) 5) ONE AFTER 909 (LIB film & album) 6) DIG A PONY (LIB film & album, although the album omits the first & last "All I want is you" vocal) 7) GOD SAVE THE QUEEN (while switching to another tape, this song is just quickly improvised. Not released. Only a few seconds exist on the multitrack tape.) 8)I'VE GOT A FEELING (not in LIB film or on album) 9) DON'T LET ME DOWN (not in LIB film or on album) 9) GET BACK (spoken intro on LIB album is from a studio session overdubbed with tuning sounds from the rooftop concert. Also LIB album version is an indoor studio outtake with the rooftop ending edited onto the end. "Anthology 3" has the proper 3rd rooftop version, although it fades prematurely as John says his "thank you on behalf of the group" bit.
"Let It Be...Naked" provides us with: DON'T LET ME DOWN (edit of both rooftop versions) I'VE GOT A FEELING (edit of both rooftop versions) DIG A PONY (same as LIB album & film, although the film has the opening & closing "all I want is you" line. LIB...NAKED has an off key "because" auto-tuned and a guitar error removed near the end. ONE AFTER 909 (same as LIB film & album, although the "Naked" version has John saying "Yes I did" after the line "begged her on my bended knees", which is not audible on the LIB album or in the film.)
I think the rooftop performance is of historical interest and should be released in its' entirety, regardless of songs being repeated. It would be great in 5.1 surround.
Shouldn't this be in the Beatles area and not John's solo area??
