Indeed it is Mr K. Great cover by Devon Allman too. Enjoy his show tomorrow. Hope you enjoy Camel tonight at Bridgewater Hall too. It's sold out. Are they still doing the 'Moonmadness' tour? Mind you, maybe they should have advertised it as 'Andy Latimer' plus a few of his friends! Strangely enough, I listened to 'The Snow Goose' this afternoon for the first time in a couple of years. It's a classic. I have the re-mastered version. Just exquisite. I'm gonna dig out 'Mirage' & 'Moonmadness' for my listening pleasure over the weekend. Stay cool!

A video on just one man`s thoughts on Kate`s decision to take Rolf Harris off her remastered albums It`s a very touchy subject and that`s why I`ve put it on here instead of the Kate Bush thread as this really covers more than just Kate`s Music but how thing`s are being changed since the P.C. madness were living in today I, like this man I`m really against changing Music , Art, Film , and it really opens a can of worms What`s next Taking out that line out of Penny Lane or that line from Walk On The Wild Side , changing the cover of Blind Faith`s album Which they already have done I think Painting Bra`s on all the paintings in the gallery`s across the world ?! There`s one thing this would make for a very interesting debate Remastering is one thing but censoring or taking out things that are now history is not right in my humble . This Video has very offensive language, you`ve been warned !

Oh boy! I saw Bill Cosby live back in '91. Thought it was great. I still like the LPs I have of him. Two of my favorite books as a kid was Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. I still have them. One of my favorite composers is Richard Wagner. The anti-Semitic creep. I just adore the music he came up with. Maybe insensitive but I used to laugh whenever John Lennon would 'pull a crip'. Didn't most pf us? I used to called people I was annoyed with, 'retards'. I like that picture of the early Beatles around that chair in their collarless jackets and Paul had a cigarette. Remember at one time in the 80s when the picture started appearing with the ciggie erased? I laugh at Apu on The Simpsons.
I can't or won't tolerate actual prejudice speech or assault, sexual or otherwise. I have friends who are African, Indian, Oriental and even Welsh. I have friends who have mentally disabled kids. Mentally disabled adult kids.
There is this thing now where you can get away with murder but don't use the 'fag' word or you'll be strung up. Part of the reason for an over stressful life is that people are deciding to be easily offended. And the governments are starting to cater to these 'special interest' groups and throw funding at them so being easily offended had become a part of the institution.
How can we cope with that kind of stress? LET IT GO. There will be less stress in life if we just let things go. I don't mean to overlook criminal activity, but if a guy on a record did something unforgivable, As long as he's not promoting it or singing about it, I still love the record. LIKE The Dreaming by Kate Bush.
One day it could come to the point when all sorts of things will be written out of the history books. Important things that need to be remembered, then we're back in the superstitious dark ages with witch trials and all. 'Write Hitler out of history because we don't need to remember that awful stuff he did'. Guaranteed it will be repeated one day.
It's just to stressful to be so easily offended. AND too stressful to erase all the contributions to our culture by ones guilty of criminal acts. Including science, culture, medicine, and nearly everything you can think of. In some cases like Mr. Harris, nothing is proved! Which is worse. Most of western society is based on criminal acts perpetrated in past centuries. I can't fix that now. We can only look forward to try to do it better. For the future.
But for now? Leave the rage and hurt feelings behind. You're feelings are always gonna be hurt by someone. If a criminal has turned out to have contributed to a work of art or science or medicine or whatever, let the crime be dealt with but don't revise history and take them out of it.
LET IT GO.

I totally agree with Amadeus that people are getting too easily offended.
I don't know how long for sure that this has been going on, but I first noticed it a couple of years ago.
OTOH, I had a boss about 20 years ago who jokingly stated that he was going to start a "Cult of the Easily Offended."
