I'm a lifelong Beatle fan as some of you may know. What's really bugging me is the fact Paul keeps going on about how important it is for him to play Liverpool yet the Echo arena has been open for a few years now and it's the first time he's played it. Moreover he only does a single night in a venue that holds just under 10,000. He could have easily done three nights on the run. He does this in the states but won't do it at his home town. What grates even more is the offer of free tickets to the Liverpool and Everton first teams. A free ticket for kenny dalglish I understand but the rest of them? Come on! Where does the real fan get a look in? It's not that I am bitter because I didn't get a ticket but when a lot of tickets are just made available to Liverpool city council workers, celebrities and football players before real fans get to buy them and then Sir Paul goes on about the importance of playing his home town, it's annoying and wrong.
Any thoughts in this?

yeah but those tix'll be in the VIP boxes at the top miles from the stage. the offer was made did any of them take it?
Plus what was the availability of the venue in regards to his schedule? And would it have sold out 3 nights? after all Ringo could only half fill the Empire!
ps AMAZING gig!

It's not really the point if they took the tickets or not and I'm sure that anyone who really wanted tickets and couldn't get them would have loved the opportunity to watch Paul from a corporate box.
You arent going to start comparing the popularity and pulling power of Paul to Ringo are you? Of course Paul could have easily filled the echo arena 3 nights running.

I know where your coming From Mr. Mustard I would of thought he would play more than one date there . I think that gigs and even football has become a corperate day/night out. All the best seats are hundreds of pounds packages and are all accounted for before they go on sale Not going to real fans , I very sure . At the Rush gig this year I was in the cheap seats (75 before booking fee!) And most of the people in the posh seats were either going back and forth to the bar , talking and most annoying playing on there bleeding phones ! I didn`t get a ticket for Macca for Manchester . First time ever and I was devastated Not really had that kind of money at such short notice and on top of that when they went on sale 9am when I was at work . Sign of the times mate I`m afraid I hope I did`nt sound too bitter
