RIP and such a strange event. very strange indeed.... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mal_Evans#DeathHis ashes are missing, the book he was working on 'Living The Beatles Legend' went missing one week before it was to be published, and some of his Beatle memorabilia went missing after his death too. I remember a guitar that supposley belong to Lennon that was given to Mal went up for auction a few years ago. Where it came out of hiding no one knows.

Very sad this story. Mal literally gave his life to The Beatles. They should have looked after him after they split. Perhaps one of them take him on as a personal assistant. They owed him that much at least.

John it seemed was the only one that cared about him after the break. I remember Mal hanging out with him, Nilsson and May Pang when he was doing that Rock & Roll lp. But then again that was a time when you wouldn't have wanted to be around John.

Interesting period in John's life that. Of course there where times when he was a total drunk but it was also a period when he properly re-established a relationship with Julian and seemed to care. I think May Pang was actually a good influence on him despite the boozed up times (he was never a heavy drinker anyway). That special relationship with Julian ceased when he went back to Yoko.

I feel very sad when I read about those post Beatle years. All still very young men but all seeming deeply affected by their experiences. I think in that sense The Beatles were the first to have to deal with all the aspects (including the post Beatle era) of being a globally successful and history defining group. Elvis had major issues that were never resolved, Zeppelin had massive tragedies to contend with; The Beach Boys imploded.
How anyone hangs onto to any assemblance of normality in those circumstances is beyond me.

A very weird video was uploaded on YouTube. This video was supposedly of the 'Mal Evans Archive' a briefcase that the LA Police lost after the murder of Mal Evans. This briefcase remained lost until someone said they found it for sale at an Australian flea market. Then this video appeared a few years later. I believe it's all made up, but you never know. I also read that the Post Office did finally find the ashes of Mal Evans and returned them to his family. But his lost manuscript has never been located.
Watch at your own discretion - you may laugh to death. lol
