Tried to get tickets for the Liverpool gig when they were apparently pre-sale but failed miserably! Would never attend an O2 gig it's an awful venue. Would definitely go to Hyde Park again though if he played there!!

I got mine on general sale as during Presale i was still able to convince myself 1) i'd seen Paul 8 years ago (inc Liverpool) i didn't need to go to this one, 2) Tuesdays are impossible to get off so therefore I'm at mercy of the rails network or motorway at 5pm 3) December is the busiest time of year so my chances of escaping the last week of December on time are virtually nil 4) that it was gonna be over £100 inc fees
By Thursday morning .... these rational mature thoughts were replaced by 1) that was 8 years ago 2) i hate my job anyway - i'm gonna need something to cling to when the drunk christmas parties kick in 3) i've got 2 1/2 hours to get from work to my seat - who needs food/change from work clothes (and the way i drive on a clear motor way it takes an hour) 4) i have a birthday between now and then... 5) It's Paul friggin Mccartney - if i'm not there i'm gonna sulk....
So i bought a 6th row ticket.....

On the two previous occasions I could have gone (Kings Dock 1990 and Anfield 2008) work stuff got in the way! I even had the tickets in my hand for Anfield! Grrrrrrrrrrr!

You forgot about Kings Dock 2003, that's when i last saw him do a full gig (last time I saw him was Live 8 - tho don't count it as only a few songs and wasn't in the same postal code as the stage!)
The advantage of buying a single ticket is you can often squeeze in and get good seats. It is a bit off to the side but should be a good view when Paul's at the piano assuming the stage layout is the usual one.

Ah, I was on holiday for the 2003 one so wouldn't have been able to go anyway. But for the 1990 Liverpool gig, I had the time all booked off but then had to attend some compulsory training course, which ended up being a complete waste of time! And for the 2008 gig I was actually unemployed when I bought the tickets but when I got a job, I had to start it the day after the concert!! Ended up selling those tickets I did see him at the Roundhouse, Camden a few years ago though, which more than made up for those disappointments!
