Nice one Rocky. Just think that those houses escaped bombs by inches. Yeah, didn't a couple bombs land in the back yard and destroy a shed or something?

This might be a neat find. This old bar from the days of Vicki Wood. ...and the bar as it looks today. What do you think? It is in France!

Ok from Ant Hogans book. The P'tit Bar was the location of their stay when they played in Fontenet a town near the US Base and played at the (Enlisted members EM club). The date they left Liverpool was the 31st March 1962. Ringo and Bobby Thompson and left earlier on the 30th but had been delayed on the train in Paris as there had been bombings and the Police spent hours searching Ringo's kit before allowing them to travel. I am adding a link to Fortenet. I believe in French 'Commune' in this sense means a town parish/council. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fontenet

I checked and this bar is in Thizy Les Bourgs, France about 5 hours away from Fontenet. ...and about Vicki she would have to be around Ringo's age now (79) to have been allowed to play in a foreign country back then.

Still wish Rory's car would turn up but I doubt that is possible.

Just found out that when Rory was a DJ in Jersey in the early 1970's he lived in a lighthouse.

So sad that he left us so young. Oh to have seen him and the band live at the height of their powers.

Interesting that Ty Brian is listed as Chas. Will have to keep an eye on this as the price could go nuts. Thank you for the tip off.
I might put a bid in. Is it a reliable site?.

Yes they are one of the top auction companies in the US. But you have to watch out for the Buyers Premium. It's really high that will cost you $50 for a one dollar bid!
