Well, it was a massive, MASSIVE struggle to come up with the funds for Beatle Week this year, and my trip was in serious doubt for a long while... but I finally booked it (thanks Mum and Dad!!!!). I am travelling up on the Thursday, leaving on the Wednesday and will be staying at Apollo Court! I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing everyone again and, as this will be my first ever solo trip, I hope you'll look after me!! LOL See you all soon! AL

I will be there Saturday (could do with a chat with Al`s Ma "n" Pa) So I will see you all again (or for the first time ) Now all I need is Sky to change the Man Utd V Arse nal game to a Sunday as I don`t fancy cheering the 19`ers in the middle of Liverpool town centre

Well, Beatle Week 2011 is less than 8 weeks away now - not that I'm counting Really looking forward to meeting you all again. Also looking forward to meeting any new members who are visiting Liverpool for the first time as part of the Beatle Week celebrations. A question for 'regular' Beatle Week/Mathew Street Festival goers. Because of the vast range of live bands and exhibitions at various venues throughout the 'celebrations', how do you organize where to go and which bands to see? Speaking from personal experience, I haven't in the past bought into the available packages and this year is no exception. It's a personal preference but some of the packages are really excellent deals. As soon as I arrive in Liverpool, I buy a programme (it was a few quid last year) and sit down with my mates over a few pints and decide which bands we want to see. Sometimes it's really frustrating because invariably some bands are playing simultaneously at different venues and it's often a difficult choice which band to see! Fortunately, most bands do quite a few sets at various locations so if you're lucky, you'll manage to see the bands you want to eventually. It'll be interesing to hear how you organize your Beatle Week? Here's my favourite band from last year performing in the Cavern Pub. Can't wait.

Hi Arthur Nowadays i usually stay in the YHA near the dock which works out good value. I usually print out a list of bands appearing at The Cavern venues and i float between the three venues especially the cavern pub. It's been a few years since i attended the Sunday Convention but am tinkering with the idea for this year as it tends to be good value if a little overcrowded. Or i might pay to see the Overtures in concert, see how the budget stretches. My fave bands from last year and there are many to choose from are The Repeatles, The Beat Brothers, The Yesterdays. Sad to see no Rocks Off, Allyouneedislove, Sir Frankie Crisp this year but still a great line up. I usually attend the mathew street festival as well. Add The Getbackband onto that list of non-attendees, shame, never mind. Phil

sadly you can also add the beat brothers to the non-attending list too.

Beatlejuice (Argentina) one of the winners of Cavern Club de Buenos Aries competition. They sound quite good. Possibly a sound problem with the recording of the video below. www.beatlejuiceband.com.ar

Arthurlee- That's my video of the Yesterdays, although technically my husband filmed it, you can see me dancing horribly because he thought it was endearing lol. They were my favorite last year as well and I'm glad to see they will be back this year It's hard to figure out who to see because sometimes last years favorites don't show up again this year. Booooooo! I am definitely going to see all of the Two Of Us/The Blue Meanies gigs. And it's the Two Of Us from Liverpool not the Netherlands. Also, I'll be seeing Gavin Pring's performances along with the Fab Four. And I defo have to see Stevie Riks, Revolver and Hal Bruce I really can't wait!! Also, since I live in Kirkdale, Liverpool I don't have to worry about where to stay during the week Two Of Us- two-of-us.co.uk/media.php

Genuine question: How do foreigners go to watch the bands in a sweaty environment like The Cavern and watch the bands all day without drinking? I know its British culture but boy, is this gonna be hard for me this year because of lack of money
