ToneDeaf May 2,2011 Wanna Buy John Lennon’s Home Studio? Just like many musos of today, John Lennon had a home studio that he liked to tinker around in and make the odd record, such as Imagine. Hence, he had a pretty good collection of vintage recording gear which is set to go up for auction online on 11th May. The gear was installed at his Georgian manor house estate at Tittenhurst Park, near Ascot, in 1970 after the break up of The Beatles, and was used to record not just demos, but his early solo releases. www.tonedeaf.com.au/news/featured/70486/wanna-buy-john-lennons-home-studio.htm

8,000 dollars for a microphone?! That's insane.
I have a pretty good rig up for my own music, and would love to buy some of John's stuff for my studio. However, $8000...that is way too much! I don't have it.

that's cheap compared to his toilet! I remember that! I'd have better uses for his recording studio, than his toilet. There are already 4 toilets in my home, but I could always add on to my recording setup.
