A couple (well maybe more!) questions but first, a related story. Queuing to get into the Cavern Club on the Saturday of Beatleweek 2006, my brother and I were approached by a young couple who had a couple of wristbands and a glossy magazine type Beatleweek programme for sale. They said they were given to them as a 'gift' but neither of them were keen on The Beatles . They said the wristbands would gain us free entry into places like The Cavern and more importantly, The Adelphi the next day (Sunday). We had seen quite a few people wearing wristbands but weren't sure what they were for. Anyway, we haggled and in the end (see what I did then? ) we bought them for a total of £10! Money well spent as they did get us into The Adelphi and into The Cavern for the rest of the weekend. Oh yes, my questions : 1) Are the wristbands and programme exclusive to people who book their stay in Liverpool with the Beatleweek promoters? 2) If not, can they be bought seperately from the usual outlets around Mathew Street and in The Adelphi and, if so, what are the prices? 3) Will the arrangements still apply this year? 4) Can anyone get us 'discounted' wristbands for this year's Beatleweek? (I threw that question in, in the vain hope that somebody might take pity on us after travelling all the way down from Newcastle!) Cheers.

Hi Arthurlee! I'll attempt to answer your questions... here goes... 1) Are the wristbands and programme exclusive to people who book their stay in Liverpool with the Beatleweek promoters? The wristbands, yes - they are issued by the organisers Cavern City Tours (CCT) to people who have booked a package through them. The programme, no - this is available from the CCT desk in the foyer of the Adelphi Hotel and probably from The Beatle Shop in Mathew Street. 2) If not, can they be bought seperately from the usual outlets around Mathew Street and in The Adelphi and, if so, what are the prices? With regards to the wristband - it is dependant on what package you book (see the programme I posted a few weeks back in this section). The programmes will probably be aprox £8.00. 3) Will the arrangements still apply this year? Yes.4) Can anyone get us 'discounted' wristbands for this year's Beatleweek? (I threw that question in, in the vain hope that somebody might take pity on us after travelling all the way down from Newcastle!) If you hear anything in this regard please let me know too!!!

The Northumberland coastline is truly stunning. I can be at Seahouses/Craster/ Amble within 35 minutes from where I live (Ashington). I'll see if Al can let me know where you'll be! We'll be arriving Saturday morning. Bring it on.
