All sounds a bit harsh! Has the man personally upset you?
So you don't like the vocals on Mama, In The Air Tonight and Against All Odds (he won a Grammy for this vocal)?
It's debatable if he was as good as Bruford, Moon, Bonham and Peart but Meg is a terrible drummer!

Can`t you see Musty ! He is the the evil one ! He was born of a Jackel ! The clues are there ! No Jackel Required He was on the set of Hard Days Night If you look carefully you can see him on a Tricycle in the train station . He`s the devil I tell ya ! Tried to destroy the British Movie industry with Buster so he could by his manipulate his way into the U.S film industry and make sure his daughter could become into the click and marry a senetor and before you know it President Then he wore the devils cloths Suits , Tank Tops , and became the Yuppies voice ! Evil . Do I need to go on ? If the other videos has`nt convinced you this one will
Be warned . This video should not played more than 3 times I tryed it and had to sacrifice a Staus Quo album and listen to Hergest Ridge for 666 minutes to cleanse my soul The evidence The Tank Top is...... Behellezebub !( in latin it translates into Phil Collins )
The music or what !

Meg was perfect for what the White Stripes were. And you can't really compare drummers and who is better because they play in completely different ways. Bonzo was a very bottom heavy drummer. Bruford was a very top heavy drummer. Peart is a very tricky busy drummer. Collins has a very light touch and shows a restrain at time that just scratches me right where it itches. Moments that I love of his drumming, to illustrate what I mean, " Down And Out". The Intro to " Behind The Lines". His fusion stuff with Brand X, and he is heavy when he needs to be: " Apocalypse in 9/8" at the Rainbow in '72. On the Archives vol. 1 set. Anyhoo, there's not really any rational thought behind such extreme dislike. The stuff You (Kite) pointed out is irrelevant to me. I don't listen to his solo stuff, I didn't watch Buster and I didn't watch the grammys when he won for " Against All Odds". I was busy. But I know that a lot of the music moves me in the same way that Rush or The Beatles move me. But we love you in spite of your failings.

I love Van Der Graaf. My favorite album is Pawn Hearts. Robert Fripp was guitarist on that one. Here is a picture of Peter Hammill with another of the greats of the era. Once again, I gotta plead ignorance on your Phil Collins choice. You seem to know quite a few of his bad songs. I just consider stuff like that as being somebody else's problem.

Tomorrow night on BBC 4 is an all night Prog night The Classic album episode is So - Peter Gabriel . I shall be having some of that ! So then that leads me very nicley into a point I have to make. Is it me . ? I don`t know ! But I think Peter Gabriel is underated in the Prog world . Ok . His first 2 albums wern`t masterpieces I do think Here Comes The Flood is a brilliant tune though . But Peter Gabriel 3 ( Melt) is genius (Yes I know the bald one is on it !) From then then on up to Up which is still a good album Is it maybe he didn`t really go into 20 minute songs or do a concept album Even his later years he still has a great voice ( New Blood ) And as for tours Growing Up Live DVD is brilliant (Devastated I didnt see that tour ) I think it`s sad that the man is`nt shown the respect for his music . This is what I`m talkin about . Genius .

Yes Yes, the Phil Collins (The Great) teasing and japing was great fun for a glorious day and a half. Mrs. A says I should stop playing around and do something proper. Oh well... I love PG! I have Peter Gabriel, Peter Gabriel, Peter Gabriel, Peter Gabriel, Peter Gabriel Plays Live, So, Us and Up. What is Prog but music that is progressive? Doesn't have to be 20 minute suites about hobbits and shastric scriptures. This is genius:

That looks more like Fish than Phil Collins! They're all starting to look the same these days. Old grizzled salt and pepper heads. BTW, I'm not sure what I think of Marillion. I have ... Jester's Tear and Misplaced Childhood and I enjoy them but is it just me or is it a bit of " classic prog" by numbers?

I don`t label Prog as 20 minute tunes and People finding guitars, I think the Prog media do . That`s why I think Gabriel`s albums get by passed as just rock albums . Kate Bush was (as you know) on the cover of Prog rock . Apart from The Nineth Wave you could not label as a Progster . I do though . Hard to define Prog init ? Game Without Frontiers got me into Gabriel . It was in my local pub jukebox and I wore it out . Did You know Kate is on backing vocals ? Another great tune

I would describe it more as Neo Progressive Rock. Clearly there are major influences of Genesis and others in Marillion but in a more commercial setting. They aren't half the band without Fish in my opinion. Lavender is a brilliant song. Fugazi is another great album.
Fish's solo albums are well worth investigating too. In particular Vigil in the wilderness, Internal Exile and 13th Star.

Oh yeh .. I forgot to say that I don`t like Marillion or Fish A poor mans Genesis as we use to call them . I saw Marillion support Jethro Tull at the Wakefield Festival in 83 ish ? I didnt like them then and not now . Don`t forget BBC 4 Tonight ! Prog News "Slash to attend rock hall induction but asks, Where’s Rush?" Slash, who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with bandmates Guns and Roses next month, has commented on those that have been snubbed: "'It's sort of a bittersweet thing too because there's so many artists that aren't inducted, that came way before Guns did, that really actually almost deserve more to be in there and they're not in there', the guitarist said in an interview Wednesday, listing off Canadian band Rush, Deep Purple, Cheap Trick and Kiss as examples. 'So it's really hard to sort of feel victorious ... that to me just doesn't seem right'" - Toronto Globe and Mail, March 21, 2012

That's a bit harsh Mr Kite. Have you actually devoted any listening time to the band other than Kayleigh? Fish's lyrics are second to none.
There's nothing wrong with influences. Every band that you have mentioned are heavily influenced by many bands/musicians and all have admitted to totally ripping them off.
Take some time out to listen to the three albums I mentioned in my last post and the two Amadeus mentioned and then come back to me and say you don't like them.
