Watched your 'Backbeat' review. Thought it was really good. I have the movie on DVD and I'll watch it again tonight. (a little trivia that movie was released on April 14th, 1994. 28 yrs ago!) Finally watched it again to give my new fresh review. Thought Ian Hart as Lennon did a really good job. He reminded me more of Julian now. Also thought Gary Bakewell as McCartney did a fine job. I read what Paul thought of the movie when he watched it and he was spot on one scene in the movie has John singing 'Long Tall Sally' and 'John never sang that song in his life!' But otherwise he said, and I agree 'Stu's part was pretty good.' But I think they put in too much that John was sort of gay. I'd give it a 7/10. *Also of note Dave Grohl of Nirvana then, and Foo Fighters later, did the drum work for the soundtrack of the film.

I recently watched this film....
... it was rather slow, but nevertheless held my attention. Terrific acting by Mark Rylance.

Watched it last night. Reminded me of a Shakespeare play. They could have shown this on Broadway live since the whole movie was shot in one setting inside the tailor's shop. Could have had ACT 2 Scene 3 etc. come up on the screen too like a play. Otherwise it was a good movie, better than some of the dimwit movies they make nowadays.

I had a go at watching this....
.... and lasted about 15 minutes. The direction is terrible. Every scene contains a flashback, not to some essential plot line, but to something aimless, like the character just walking down a street. It's like listening to a story by one of those people who rambles on, descending into sub-clauses and leaving you wondering about the original point.

Hey Brewy ! , I`ve subscribed to your channel and I`ll watch them soon as possible ! Finally catching up on films . Here`s some one line reviews No Time To Die Bond , retired Bond , but he comes out of retirement in about 10 minutes , I loved it though ! Lost City Sandra Bullock plays it straight in this very enjoyable comedy for the most part Dr. Strange in the multiverse of madnessMarvel films are becoming that feeling when youve eaten a full tub of Ben & Jerry`s ice cream , your loving it but as you reach the bottom you start to feel you wish you had`nt, but this film about half a tub . The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent Nicolas Cage playing himself in this entertaining film that though not full of belly laughs it still has some great moments The Green Knight Based on the tale of the Green Knight , it was a wee bit disappointing as it was just let down with the cast and script in my humble . Greenland Yet another end of the world movie , but it was watchable to my surprise ! The NorthmanI bloody loved this , Viking films are not my cuppa, but this was a very detailed look into a the legend of Amleth and wow it`s incredible and so far away from the safe Hollywood films that are being made at the mo . If you have seen the other Robert Eggers movies ( The vvitch & The Lighthouse ) you know what your in for . And finally I`m off to see Maverick tonight and to get in the mood I watched Top Gun A bloody terrible film and I`m sure as hell that as bad as 80`s films were this must have been at the top of the tree . Awful .

A few more quick fire reviews !
Men
All A24 films should come with a "This is a A24 Film you have been warned " sticker Fortunately for me I was a aware and I so happen to love A24 films . This one didn`t disappoint . Its a tale of a woman going to the countryside to try and get her troubles in the city where men seemed to be nothing but trouble. She should have stayed at home . I enjoyed it and Rory Kinnear is incredible in it .
Maverick ( Top Gun )
Probably the best film you can go and watch in the I.Max It`s a bloody brilliant film . Tom Cruise just seems to be at the very top of his game the last few years and he hits all the right buttons in this film . What cinema was made for and if you go to the cinema just once this year , make sure its this one .
Everything Everywhere All At Once
Yet another A24 film ! And as in bonkers as A24 films can be this is another level It`s a multi universe like no other , you get talking rocks and sausage fingers universes and a role that Michelle Yeoh was born for in all the universes . It will make you laugh , cry and almost leave the cinema . loved it
The Black Phone
Got to see a special viewing of this film and I went in for another average slasher movie with the usual jump scares and the like . But this film was a film I didn`t expect ! It`s a throwback to the Stephen King character driven films that gets you invested in the characters that you route for them all the way . From a story by King`s son Joe Hill . He`s certainly took the torch from his dad and kept it burning . Loved it !

Seems like weeks are days and no time to sit and watch anything these days but I back !
Smile
A horror film that basically is a remake of The Ring . But with a difference . I got through it .
The Pale Blue Eye .
Not a big fan of period dramas but with an incredible cast I could not resist . Loved it . Edgar Allen Poe in his early life was at a Cadet school and this "who dunit" has him helping out a detective .
All Quiet On The Western Front
A wonderful remake of the classic anti war film . Not the best war film you ever see but still gets across the message
The Banshees Of Inisherin
Loved this one ! A small tale of two friends who have such a mundane life that one day one of them no longer wants to be his friend anymore . That`s the plot ! And it may even win Oscars !
The Whale
A story of a overweight man who realizes that his time is almost up with his un healthy life style that he wants to get to know his estranged daughter . Brendan Fraser is up for an Oscar for his performance and for me I don`t think he deserves it . I even thought his friend and carer is best thing about the film .
Infinity Pool
From the son of David Cronenburg, Brandon seems he carried on from his Father is mind bending, gory, sci fi craziness with his films and this one is a bit of a let down after Possesser. Just not enough back story in it , if there is anything to be a story about ..The back story . We just jump straight into the madness in about 10 minutes in ! And towards the end of the film it turns into a badly acted 1980`s horror film . The cast just seemed to give up on acting as much as I give up on our protagonist ?
