Hola to everyone!
I´m going to Liverpool to the Beatle Week from Agoust 20 till 26. As I´m going on my own, I trying to look for any other members who are going too in order to meet up, going to concerts togheter and so on.
I think it will be nice to meet other people from different countries and cultures but who speak the same language: THEY.
Don´t be afraid, I´m a quiet labour law teacher...well I´m not so quiet during the Beatle Week.
¡Hasta pronto!
María

Are you SURE you're coming to Liverpool from August 20th to August 26th? It's just that Beatle Week starts on the 26th August and finishes on 1st September. You're going to miss almost all of the actual festival which culminates during the Bank Holiday weekend (28th to 31st). I just thought I would point that out to you. See here www.cavernclub.org/features_detail.php?feature_ref=186It would be much better for you arriving on the 26th and leaving on the 1st September.

Many thanks for the information, you are absolutely right. I thought the Bank Day was always in August the 25th.
I will try to manage to go there the dates you have told me. And please, if you are planning to meet up there, let me know.
¡Gracias!

We normally plan to meet up on the Saturday of the Holiday weekend so keep an eye out on this forum for possible details regarding time and venue. I'm sure Al will be instrumental (no pun intended!) in bringing together the good people of this forum who are making the trip to Liverpool. Just over 10 weeks to go. Bring it on!

Many thanks to be concerned.
Actually I´ve asked for some information in the link you provide me.
I think I´ll go the 25th/26th and I leave the 30th. Unfortunately I must leave on Sunday due that I have to start working in Spain September the 1st (I have 2 months holidays, so it won´t be very nice to be delay).
Have you all usually meet up in a particular place? I´ve thought about staying at Adelphi´s Hotel, I think it´s the most lively hotel during the Beatles Week, but of course any expert´s advises will be welcome.
Gracias for your information and help
Un saludo

I always stay in the Adelphi only because it's so convenient - if I was a millionaire I'd definitely stay at the AHDN Hotel! I've sent you a PM Ialamaga AL

Come on!
I came from the third world and I could afford it last Christmas. There are some special offers sometimes.
The only problem is- they are very clever- there is nothing printed with "Hard Day´s Night" logo in all the whole room, so you can´t (let´s say it in a Spanish way) "borrow" anything, just a miserable telephone note book, ja, ja.
Many thanks for all your information.
I´ve sent also a PM

Sadly not many "special' offers during Beatle week at the AHDN Hotel!! I know they used to have beer mats (coasters) in the bars but I think they no longer have those - possible due to people 'borrowing' them! I know someone who has 2 though!! AL

I always stay in the Adelphi only because it's so convenient - if I was a millionaire I'd definitely stay at the AHDN Hotel! I've sent you a PM Ialamaga AL I'm not bragging but I've stayed at ADNH twice and it is excellent. (apart from the shower on the first night we stayed there). We have only stayed for single nights and never over Beatleweek. However we had Sunday night booked at last years Beatleweek months well in advance but ended up cancelling it as we had not long had our first child. We also have Sunday night booked at this years Beatleweek. Considering I live in Liverpool it's perhaps a bit extravagant but its got a great atmosphere probably because it plays Beatles music all day! We normally stay there with a couple of friends who are also Beatle fans so for us it is worth it. The problem with the Adelphi is that you have to book a minimum of 3 or 4 nights - that certainly use to be the case - which is ideal for out of towners.

Hello Maria and all, I'm also going on my own, I am from Bulgaria. Last year I visited for the first time the event and it was almost by magic, as I didnt know about the beatles week at all, until about a month before it...wow it was exciting. Maybe a bit too much, as I couldnt even make contacts with other fans. So I hope to fix the mistake this year... Anyone with the same fate can join us here!!!! ;] Alexandra

Hi Maria,
FAO The End: I'm sure we can arrange a forum meet-up eh Al?
(Lets make a better job of it than last year!)
I'm hoping to take The End on a "Ferry 'Cross The Mersey" - maybe a few of us could that, there is the new Beatles Story "Extension" there too that Merseytravel have bought the rights to.

Shannon still owes me £5!
