I have all the Dr Ebbetts Beatles(American versions) thru the Help album. My question is,in your opinion, should the box sets also be purchased? As of right now, unless there is a quantum leap in sound quality,I cant see getting them(except,of course, for the original album art!) Thanks!

Dr Ebbetts himself acknowledged that his versions were inferior to the new remasters. Yes, I do recommend getting the remasters. Get the Mono Box while you can, as they will be gone at some point soon-you will not regret it! Yes, it is alot of money, but, if you're gonna blow you're hard-earned cash on anyone, then let it be the Beatles for cryin' out loud. Seriously, if getting this box set means that all of your allocated money for music is gone for a year, then just do it! I'm a big Neil Young fan, and I turned down the Archives, volume 1 box, because it was too expensive, and hey, times are tough, but the Beatles are so true to my heart, that the thought of not having one of these was too depressing to contemplate. Fortunately, I have a darling wife who loves me, and I received the best birthday present ever on september 10.
