I remember I bought that record (Mary's version) when it first came out. Was curious to see what ever happened to Mary. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of "Those Were the Days", on 30 August 2018 Hopkin released a brand new acoustic version, on an EP also featuring the live version from her 1972 "farewell" concert at the Royal Festival Hall. Also included are the versions of "Those Were the Days" and "Goodbye" released in 1977, produced by her then husband, Tony Visconti Mary is 69 years old and still has a wit about her.

She still has an amazing voice . I always thought there were similarities with her and Kate Bush in that they shied away from fame. When Mary bust on to the scene producers didn't know what to do with her and tried to push her into light entertainment , where at heart she was a folk singer . She still releases stuff i think from her Website. www.maryhopkin.com/and she did a lovely cover of In My Life back in her day.

A true and underrated talent. I love the updated version of Those Were the Days so poignant and her cover of In My Life is beautiful.
