There are some really good podcasts and lectures out there. I'll kick off the thread with this chat about Motown...

Mark and David were the rock pop journalists who I read week in week out. One their employees was Neil Tennant who went on to find global fame as singer with the Pet Shop Boys. He was a great journalist and I vividly recall him reviewing very early Wham and Culture Club and he did the first written Madonna interview in the UK.
Thanks to Mark Ellen I first heard of the Incredible String Band.

I have read several of David H's books, and find his material most enjoyable. Wasn't Mark Ellen in a band with Tony Blair for a while?

That was pretty interesting watched half of it will watch the rest later. Here's a picture of the first two books I ever got on the same day May 23, 1964! My grandmother gave me $1.25 for both to get them. lol

I guess it takes a Paul McCartney to get Howard Stern to come off looking like a nice guy. Nice post, brewmaster.

The boys will be in Paris Jan. 16th (this Sat.) 57 years ago in 1964. I will reading what they were doing there on that day. The book started at the end of Nov.'63 when they were doing their tour of Northern England . It really gives you a good glimse of how Beatlemania really began with about ten teenage girls standing and waiting in the freezing cold outside their hotel room to a roaring mob within one months time!!
