As a kid (3/4 years old) I saw the Yellow Submarine movie on TV and genuinely thought The Beatles were a set of Cartoon characters.

Sadly as i was working i was unable to watch this in the Cinema, i didn't get home from work until after the last showing at the cinema , i'd definitely have gone had i not been working. It was on at the Curzon Mayfair one of the loveliest cinemas in London. As i said previously , it's an ok film but to hear this amazing music that goes with the film blaring out would have been perfect for me.

I saw the film on TV about 45 years ago. I wasn't too highly impressed with the movie. It certainly wasn't up to the music. My impression is that the whole project was a contractual obligation. Four new songs instead of the 7 or 8 such as were in Help and A Hard Day's Night.
I suspect Lennon and McCartney did not think too highly of this, since they let George had two of the 4 new songs. And "All Together Now" sounds like filler to my ears, at least compared to the rest of the Lennon-McCartney body of work.
But "Hey Bulldog" is a pretty good song. Too bad it wasn't on The White Album.

Were mean to do the voices but it was impossible to get all 4 Beatles together to do this so actors did the voices. However once the Beatles saw how the film was progressing they warmed to it and agreed to appear at the end of the film for the Altogether now .
