No is the short answer, although this Chemical Noel Gallagher tune is inspired/rip off of Tomorrow knows. Two programmes on Sky Arts show the evolution of rave. The most obvious of these documentaries (3 part) The Agony and the Ecstacy . From acid house onwards. www.sky.com/watch/title/series/c432e157-4dd2-4a5a-9df8-96876947ffdeHowever i recorded the first 2 episodes of Hip Hop Evolution a week or so ago. I'm not into Hip Hop but i do like finding out things that show you where it all began . A very interesting documentary featured Grand Master Flash and Melle Mel (white lines and the message) but there were many other guys before them , it's just that they did not release records, only mixed the same record on two turntable to extend the record. I think the first hip hop record release was The Sugarhill gang and Rapppers delight. Hip Hop parties were a more underground alternative to Disco at the time. You learn something new from these programmes.
