What a great choice, Rocky. I really think that George created a fun instrument, reflecting his personality. It will be a terrific addition to your already impressive collection

Wow, Brewmaster, cool-looking Telecaster! Is that a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece? Usually, Bigsby puts their name in it. and I didn't see it there, but it certainly looks like a Bigsby.

I'm thinking it's a Bigsby style tailpiece made by Fender. I doubt Fender would put something on there without getting compensated or Bigsby wouldn't let them use one of their own pieces. Notice the Fender F on this Bigsby.

Yes, it's a Bigsby, made for Fender. Apparently, the Custom Shop had to dig out the specs as Carl preferred that unit over the standard Tele tailpiece.

In a 1968 episode of the tv series 'Bewitched' Liz Montgomery used a psychedelic painted Vox Apollo guitar. I wouldn't mind having that guitar now!

Here's a couple better pics of that Apollo guitar. You will notice they flipped the photo of Elizabeth around for the cover of this comic book. Probably released in Jan.69. www.voxshowroom.com/us/guitar/apollo.html

One of the most interesting famous guitars of the late 60's was Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd's 1962 Fender Esquire guitar. He had put shiny silver film on the body and added silver metal disks that he would buff to a shine before every performance to reflect the light from the shows out into the auidance. A couple of my friends have made nice replicas of this guitar. The sad thing was Syd accidently left the guitar out on his porch one night while it rained and all the disks rusted and he soon lost interest in the guitar and traded it for a new black telecaster which he later hated! No one knows where the guitar is today.

Check this one out. I never seen this picture of John before. I'll have to see if I can find out what type of guitar that is. Looks like it might be a giant cigarbox type. Maybe they used a clothes box or a desk drawer for it.

That's pretty neat brew. Check out my Flying V that I found that was in a guys attic for umpteen years collecting dust. I restored it to look like Hendrix's leftie Flying V. How it looked when I bought it: Jimi with his in concert: After I restored it: I even found a strap like Jimi had on his.

This Maton apparently used by George in 1963, sold for a mere £280,000 over here in the UK today.
