Tonight's televisual feast is a documentary on Marc Bolan. As i've said before I liked T.Rex and the Sweet back then but you had to keep quiet about it. It was ok in my class to like Slade as they were very blokey. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b094mcwl

Loved it. Very informative and you really got a feel that Marc was both a genius and a troubled guy.

Enjoyed it
Just would have loved to learned a bit about how he came to write so many great songs in such a short time

A couple of other thing.
How did he meet Ringo and why did Ringo want to work with Marc. Marc also seemed not to able to write quality work when he was in that messy drug period. Great to see all the early images but we could have done with another hour to explore him in greater detail. I know that he and John Peel had a complicated relationship but that was not touched upon. Still enjoyed it though.

Still enjoyed it though. It was a very good but quite a sad documentary. I hope you watched the following programme , Glam Rock at The BBC which i watched with subtitles to check lyrics to songs that i knew but had never paid attention to the lyrics. The big surprise was that Georgio Moroder failed to have a hit with Son Of My Father and Chicory Tip took the song and got to number one. I expect apart from the lyric from the title none of you could decipher the impossible lyrics. I expect as Georgip Moroders first language that would is not English that would explain it.
