I have seen new vinyl cheaper than that. Not Beatles vinyl , we always pay a premium for class acts. I think i's £18 for single Beatles albums and i paid £29 for the While album a week ago.

Sgt .Pepper next . Yes Kite, i got the last copy at WH Smiths, i'm very impressed. Next mag you get Sgt Pepper, i have a mere 4 copies of this already compared to Danny Finklestein of the Times who has nine. Not sure if i'll buy the next one as i only just bought the vinyl of Sgt Pepper about a month ago. I really want the vinyl of Love, only have that on cd.

Hey Rita, people of the WWII generation has the same opinion of the Beatles back in the '60s. yes that's true however no band or artist has been discussed and dissected by musicologists like the Beatles because of the musical boundaries the band broke, i'm confident my prediction , will stand the test of time. Ed Sheeran and Adele are not doing anything particularly new or revolutionary in music , wasn't David Gray the next big thing a few years ago?

Has anyone found a copy of the 2nd issue with Sgt Pepper , i think Help comes with 3rd issue. I was lucky picking up the last copy with Abbey Rd in Charing Cross station's WH sMITHS, when i asked when the next issue was coming in and the idiots said oh we don't stock that(even though it was there i got my copy.) I checked my local larger WH Smiths but they are not getting it in. Having only recently purchased the vinyl of Pepper i was going to give that issue a miss but some of the other issues i was more like to have an impulse buy had i seen them in the shops. You'd think the company would show their advert for this series as they did for the first issue. Yes i could buy online but i prefer to buy direct from shops, they are losing out on my impulse buying.

It seems my brother is the only person I know that is able to find copies of this Vinyl collection. He's 4 and a half years older than myself but i am the bigger Beatles fan, however i'm becoming a good influence on him and he bought Abbey Rd recently and just got the last 2 copies from his local shop of the latest Issue, Rubber Soul, so he'll drop my copy off at my work tomorrow.

So my brother gave me the latest issue which was Rubber Soul which i played yesterday on my day off. It of course showed a different more mature side to The Beatles although for me the great leap forward would happen with the next album Revolver. Brain Wilson of course on hearing Rubber Soul was inspired to up his game with Pet Sounds. I'm not surprised that after hearing Revolver and Pepper, that this sent Brian Wilson over the edge. Rubber Soul is great , i particularly liked all the singles on it ha ha , what do you mean there was no singles on it. The Word, Nowhere Man , In My Life and Michelle to name a few stand out tracks for me. I think The Overlanders cover of this sweet song was one of the biggest selling songs that year and Michelle if i'm not mistaken won an Ivor Novello award.

My fantastic brother has now managed to pick up 2 copies of the latest release of The Beatles Vinyl collection, this issue is Magical Mystery Tour which a rate as an equal to Pepper. My brother over the years was "a part- time supporter" of The Beatles but recently through my enthusiasm he's been buying up a lot of The Beatles albums now , he had a couple of albums already but this magazine is a great way to collect the vinyl.

Because i've been working my way through all The Sgt Pepper vinyl and cds bought recently, it was only yesterday that i finally unwrapped my copy of Beatles Vinyl monthly which was Magical Mystery Tour. What another beautiful package with a very impressive booklet inside along with the magazine that came with it. As for the music it'self, Walrus , Strawberry Fields what can i say , this is such an amazing album , for me musically an equal to Sgt Pepper . Sgt Pepper rightfully gets all the plaudits as it just blew everyone's mind when it was released. But i suppose as it was only released as an EP here whereas in the states they finally got it right but expanding it to album size probably explains why this album is not raved about as much . We didn't get the album version in this country until 1976.

I had to take a few days off from the forum as my brother had to go to hospital for an op . Thankfully it went well and he's back home now. He's a braver person than i'll ever be. He's the one who has found a shop selling this Beatles vinyl monthly magazine for me, but this time on my visit to the Westfield shopping centre i found a WH Smiths that had the latest issue which is Love, the cirque de soleil soundtrack album which i already had on cd as did my brother . He's only collecting the vinyl if he hasn't got the record on another form. Next issue is A Hard Days Night, which i already have on vinyl so i won't get that issue.

Thanks for you kind wishes for my brother, he's older than me and is the white sheep of the family, doesn't smoke ears healthy has all his finances in order , he's the responsible one of the two of us. As for Love , the first time i heard this album i was lying in bed listening to Gold(capital gold) when i heard this Beatles track followed by another , my first thought was , what is this? is it from the Anthology? I can't remember hearing this mix before. When suddenly it clicked , this was The Love album. As you may know i'm a "jazz cigarette smoker" but never smoke spliffs in my bedroom, however when i realised they were playing one side of the album i quickly went to my lounge to make a quick spliff to maximise my enjoyment of this splendid album . I thought George and Giles Martin did a fantastic job. I know i should stop smoking this stuff, however i have too many albums that demand you smoke to them , in particular anything by The Beatles , Kate Bush and of course Talk Talk , The Colour of Spring and Spirit of Eden to name a few.
