Part 2 of the epic homework assignment of an LP a day. I like all those "cute" Kinks concept albums including Arthur. "yes sir no sir. where should I go sir" I love the CAN and NEU! albums. I was never interested in Lynrd Skynrd. I have the Uriah Heap album. Not bad. The Deep Purple album is good but it does suffer from the 'No Gillan, No Purple' school of thought. If it was a different band, it could be a 'classic'.

Part 3. OK. Lessee,,,I like the early Pink Floyd Porcupine Tree. Terry Riley is a pleasant record for dozing off to. I have Bat For Lashes - Two Suns. Not bad. Still developing then I guess. Steeleye Span. I don't turn them off when they come on the radio. But since I don't listen to the radio and they probably never get played on the radio, I don't hear them that often. Same with Elton John. 'cept he gets played on the radio. Dead Can Dance. I recommend 'Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun'. Didn't have much of an interest in Harry Nilsson. Never bought a Blondie album or Big Country. So,,,, Julie Byrne is a winner? recommend?

Oxygene 3 - Jean Michel Jarre
It seems a bit popular to re hash album titles lately Heaven knows why ( well money I know ) but what the hell I love Oxygene ( 1) A masterpiece in my humble But this new one , it`s 3 out of 10 very disappointing and on the last track he throws in a snippet of 1 Why ? why did he bother .
Blue & Lonesome - The Rolling Stones
If it was`nt for a few people telling me it`s great and this exercise I would have never gone near it Well blow me over with Mr jaggers lips ! It`s a great 12 bar blues album and worthy of the early stones albums of the 60`s Very good !
50 down ! 300 to go !

Sorry about the delay . Bit of a back log , but I will get on with it . Closer To Home - Grand Funk Railroad This band are a kinda of a guilty pleasure band for me , I like a few songs and I seem to listen to the same ones But I thought , yeh , why not And I did I liked it so much , I`ve listened to it a couple of times now Sin`s A Good Man`s Brother is a standout tune Roxy Music - Roxy MusicNot a big fan , but I love Ladytron and it seemed this was the album for the exercise yes , it got a thumbs up in parts Once you get passed the lots of shouting , sax and keyboard stuff One track that stood out was If There Is Something The Vocals are at first a bit scary , but it then makes sense as the song goe`s on Smokin - Humble Pie It`s fantastic ! This is the kinda thing you miss out on when you buy " Best of`s " It has that very live feel to it with a bit of banter before setting off straight into some wonderful tracks Check out I Wonder A Space In Time - Ten Years After A decent album , has a few hit and miss tracks , but I think it needs more listens Electric Warrior - T. Rex Suggested by Pathos Now you may or may not know I have been a bit of a fan of the Bolan from the tender age of 8 He was my first Music Hero I have heard this album a fair few times , but it`s been awhile I could`nt do this Blog without the Bolan Maybe this is his best T.Rex album I duno . Reggatta de Blanc - The Police I`ve given myself a easy ride on an album , I was due one ! This is an album I bought when I was 19 ( a 70`s album man ! ) Been awhile .. It still sounds brilliant today as it did then, without doubt this is a five star album So so many great tracks but for me Bring On The Night is a gem 314 313 312 311 310 309

Been busy as a bee this week , so sorry for the delay again ! Exodus - Bob Marley And The WailersI guess I`m like everybody else when it comes to Marley is the quite brilliant Legend album is the ultimate Bob But I was`nt disappointed with this album It is a cracker and it has Waitin In Vain on it Distant Satellites - Anathema I really have grown to love this band and I need to see them Live A.S.A.P ! I confess I have played this a few times but I keep putting on the The Lost Song trilogy on repeat They are that good ! Great album and it needs to be heard for just the vocals of the fab Lee Douglas Strange that this was there last studio album back in 2014 ! Heaven And Hell - Black SabbathBig Ozzy fan with the Sabbath , so much so I find it very difficult to listen to ant of the albums without the man But the late great Dio is the next best thing and he shines on this album Title track and The Children of The Sea are worthy of the best of the Sabbath 5 - JJ Cale Not a fan , and of course he was a velvet (No he was`nt !) and wrote the song that Clappers covered very well Cocaine (Been there done that Eric ? ) It was a hard work for me I`m afraid but a couple of tracks were OK Street Corner Talkin - Savoy Brown Thanks to this Exercise I have found a fantastic album Loved it . Can`t Get Next To You is the stand out track Jeff Beck Group - Jeff Beck Gruop Not bad , not in the the same league as The Truth album , but it has its moments And yet another cover of Chicken Shacks Going Down ( not exactly a Shack song as they also covered the cover ..kinda ) Music In A Dolls House - FamilyI like Family , but this album is poor it`s amazing how the band had a career from this debut The 70`s albums are much much better 308 307 306 305 304 303 302

Love The Sabbath album. JJ Cale wasn't a velvet. That was John Cale. Who was also welsh. Crap ! I`m really embarrassed ( not for the first time ) Shangrenade - Harvey MandelIt`s a Blues instrumental fest . It`s alright , he`s done better for sure 301 . Is it possible to listen to 352 different artists without having a breakdown people ? Any thoughts Anything to ask me ? Who the hell is JJ Cale ?

Absolutly Free - Frank Zappa
Not the Zappa I love . It`s a hit and miss with me with the man and this is not even in the crease
How Dare You ? - 10cc
Stockport`s finest and it so happens I`m off to see them tonight Just Graham in the band , so I guess they are 10cc Amadeus ? Apart from I`m Mandy which I think is one of the best single songs of the 70`s The rest of the album is very hit and miss
.L.B.W .
Cat Stratch Fever - Ted Nugent
It was alright , not really had me shakin my head or even lookin for my air guitar
A no ball .
The End Of The Game - Peter Green
An instrumental blues album from the man who got me into the Blues Apart from the first track Bottoms Up , its a bit of a disappointment
A googly

I got a shock seeing SPLHCB in there as well but was wondering how much of a culture shock that LP was on release because it is 50 years old this year.

Dazzle Ships by OMD is also missing from the list a truly bonkers masterpiece after their pop outing. Talk Talk went esoteric as well.
