^ Love it ! I see so far I`ve kept it at one per artist, and how long can it last ?!...And I`m getting very behind ! Anyway ! New ones and I`ve head phoned these two Oczy Mlody- The Flaming LipsThis is the first official "Lips" release since the god awful Terror And I must admit I was worried But I`m loving the bugger ! On my second play as I type The songs are very basic in sound and lyrics and have that "spaced out " vibe But I`m so glad I did head phones Nigdy Nie ( Never No ) is superb with the heads on and my fav so far Return To Ommadawn - Mike Oldfield The man . It`s nothing special but it is the man . Can`t understand why he has to put Ommadawn in the title to sell it . but still he is ..The man 348 347

Salisbury - Uriah Heep
Not the best of the Heep but it has it`s moments
Still Crazy After All These Years - Paul Simon
Love Simon Always held this man the best song writer from the USA if Bob never did the 60`s A safe album with the 3 minute or so nice mainstream music But this album has the wonderful 50 ways To Leave Your Lover and the title track is sublime

A Sailor`s Guide To Earth- Sturgill SimpsonYeh, it was a nice change for me as I`m not a country fan , well it`s country Blues I guess But it was a bit of a wave album Up and down But the crest of the wave Brace For Impact ( Live A Little ) Brilliant tune ! Arthur (Or The Decline And Fall Of The British Empire ) - The Kinks Love The Kinks .. The Singles But when it comes to albums .. So this exercise has brought me to this album ..And It`s not bad , I guess it`s the 60`s Final Cut (sorry if your not familiar with The Floyd reader !) I know I need to step up ! 344 343

Burn - Deep Purple
Ha ! you must have heard this all the way through before ! You might say ( or not ) I have , but was a very long time ago Bit of a flag flyer for Ian Gillan when it comes to Purple ,so I never give it the listen in deserves Still a flag flyer for Gillan

Cathedral - Stained Glass Stories
Prog from the 70`s They must have had Fragile and The Yes Album on constant turntable usage when they wrote this album Starts off well but seems to bog you down after a while with lots of Gentle Giant vocals and to much Church keyboards man !
The Incident - Porcupine Tree
It`s a long one folks , but I got through it The band`s last album and as Steven (The man) Wilson`s Solo stuff is awesome as awesome can be not going to anymore P.T. Stand out track has got to be the Floydian Time Flies with the great line Born in 67 the year of Sgt. Pepper and Are You Experienced ?
A Rainbow In Curved Air - Terry Riley
Enough Prog already ! It`s a nice album and like most Instrumental albums flags towards the end .
Below The Salt - Steeleye Span
Folk Prog ? Maybe not The Span seem to having a bit of a comeback with their new Album Dodgy Bastards (?!) Around this time of this album ( 72 ) for me is the peak of the Span and this album is a full on Trad Songs Maddy is fantastic on this album in my humble , have I ever mentioned ....

This is some feat you're undertaking here - wish I'd thought of doing this! But I'm currently struggling to even take 1 photo per day at the moment in a 365 day photo challenge! Trying to avoid taking the easy way out by taking lazy pics of my lazy cats every day - only 1 cat pic so far! Anyway, I just read all of your highly-enjoyable reviews! Sounds like the balance is currently swinging in the favour of disappointment, proper suffering for your art but I'm sure you'll find some awesome treasures along the way! AL

Memories Are Now - Jesca HoopI`ll just get straight to the point It`s brilliant . I`m always a bit nervous when it comes to new albums of artists I`ve just recently got into But this did not disappoint The album has a very stripped down feel to it and some just seem that they have been recorded with that "Raw" demo sound The vocals just carry you all the way and the instruments just seem to be in the way Fantastic album that will no doubt become a fav of mine for a very long time Outstanding track for me was Songs Of Old Madman Across The Water - Elton John This album always to get lots of praise , but it is nothing special in my humble Take the brilliant Tiny Dancer away and you have a very average singer song writer album from an artist finding his feet in his early days Serpent`s Egg - Dead Can Dance Lots of Ambient going on , I liked it , but it`s a few more listening`s needed and at the moment with this exercise that will be awhile Mantra - Mantra (1970)A Folk rock album with lots of harmonies and nice laid back songs Near To The Near Wild Heart Of Life - Japandroids I`m going seeing this Canadian Rock duo in May The Album ? Lots of duo rock songs that sound all the same The Crossing - Big Country I can not remember the last time I heard this all the way through ( dark days of the 80`s I guess ) A brilliant album and as it was spawned in that decade I don`t like to speak of it does`nt sound dated ( y`know what I mean ) I still love Big Country ! 327 326 325 324 323 322

Cheers Pothos ! So is an album I`ve played many many times over the years and I would be straying from the exercise if I did that one Anyway ! Parallel Lines - Blondie I`ve never listened to a Blondie album before I do remember when this album came out that every man and his mate had this album But not I . Very surprised how many hit singles were on it which makes an easy listen on the ...First listen The album was a short and sweet easy hearing , but alas I think it won`t be one I will go back to Little Fictions - Elbow The newish one from a band I never really took much notice of It was a nice feel good album that does`nt tray away from under 5 minute songs with a heavy piano and not much variety from our Guy But yeah, nice album . 320 319
