What a rubbish interviewer, I think Kate does not suffer fools easily and half of what Kate said went over her head.

Freddy and the Dreamers appeared at the Cavern a few times. It was always my signal to go for a hot dog!

Not a live or television clip but The Shaggs are something else alright, and Zappa rated them as the 3rd best band in history. The second clip is a band actually trying to recreate the Shaggs sound live and not a bad try either.

I never realized Karen Carpenter was that fancy a drummer. I thought she was just more or less a tempo-stabilizer.

Actually she was quite good on drums, but later found out she was better at singing and was replaced by a friend who had been on the Mickey Mouse Club.

Karen Carpenter was an excellent drummer. Use to play in jazz bands before she turned to singing I believe. Help! Was a great cover by them.
