Does that guitar belong to Blind Lemon Jefferson or is it a reproduction.

John pinched the opening riff of this 1954 blues song for one that he wrote for the Beatles.

Seems most guitarists point to Crossroads as Clapton's finest blues solo as a member of Cream, but I'll take Sittin' on Top of the World over Crossroads any day

No discussion of the blues can be complete without Jimi. He took the blues and stretched and pulled it to places it never was meant to go. Red House was Jimi's blues showcase and while I wanted to link to the 1968 Live at Winterland version but couldn't find it, this one from the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds a few months later (and about 50 miles south of Winterland) is just as dynamic.

Love this version. Shame Keith Richards had to geg in on bass. Bill Wyman would have been much better!
