About 20 years ago (it might have even been "20 years ago today" ) I was doing the weekly grocery shopping. The store used to pipe in muzak which was completely ignorable 99.9% of the time...except for this day and I'll never forget what I heard. Sure, Beatle songs are great fodder for muzak...Yesterday, Eleanor Rigby, The Long and Winding Road, shoot even With a Little Help From My Friends wouldn't have been out of the realm of possibility...but...I actually heard a muzak arrangement of...ready... The Ballad of John and Yoko The moment those cheerful strings sawed away on the vocal melody of, "The way things are going, they're going to crucify me" I lost my mind and have been irreparably scarred Anyone else have any Beatle-Muzak massacres to report?

Excelente!!! It often took about 30 seconds before I could even recognize what song they were trying to cover! I'd have to say my fave victim of slaughter was "Girl", they turned it into a funeral dirge...about the most absurd song choice for an oompa brass band with a tone deaf tuba player you could imagine. Wish they had covered Revolution 9 The download link seemed a little sketchy but I found the songs on youtube

That was cool! I love the way the spelled out the bass drum logo with the dropped T then the first names. And with 12 tuba players it doesn't matter too much if 1 plays flat
