For those of you who have an eclectic taste in music (or for anyone who's not particular) have a listen to this. If this music doesn't stir you then you're either not listening properly or you're dead already!

That reminded me of when I was little and I lived close to a band practice hall where you could hear their rehearsals. Also the movie Brassed Off and Tusk by Fleetwood Mac. Thank you for posting that.

That's a wonderful piece of music Brewmaster. My brother plays flugelhorn in a local brass band and I occasionally get the opportunity to see a few concerts and competitions. There's something very emotive about this kind of music and of course with me living in the North East of England the history of brass bands are linked heavily with the (now redundant) coal mines where my late Dad used to work. There are a few 'modern' groups that incorporate brass bands into their music, the North East's very own The Unthanks being one of them. This is a video of them. Mr Kite might just like them because I know he likes his girlies!

Pete Postlethwaite was superb [as usual] in that film. Not really relevant to the topic of the thread, but this is my fave version of concierto de aranjuez

'Bellowhead' where brass meets folk.
