I heard No Bed for Beatle John yesterday for the first time from Unfinished Music no 2 : Life with the Lions. Really in the Avant guard section and wonder if these Lp's were bought by the average fan.
Oddly enough I cannot get the track out of my head now.

I had the original Wedding Album given to me when I was 17
The fellow was a big Beatles fan , in fact we went to see Wings together in 79. At the time I never really asked what he thought of it or his reason of buying it . Yoko`s finest moment on John & Yoko .

I thought it was well known that Yoko inspired Imagine John seemed to mention it quite often .

Personally, I don't see why Yoko gets a credit for " it was right out of Grapefruit, her book... There's a whole pile of pieces about 'Imagine this' and 'Imagine that'," , any more than the designer of the poster should get a credit for "Being for the benefit of Mr Kite", or, the reporter should get a credit for "A day in the life" However, it's John's song and he can credit whoever he wants.

Good point Brewmaster There is another one that was knocked about back in the day Was that if John had`nt meet Yoko he would have become another "Tom Jones " as in a light entertainer I can`t remember if it was in fact John that said that Probably I`ve read it or it`s in a interview ... Anyone agree with that ? I think not myself .

Nah Mr Kite. John was headstrong and musically and individually talented both as a writer and performer. OK, Yoko may have influenced John to some extent in his general wellbeing and outlook but could you really see him belting out songs like 'What's New Pussycat' and 'Delilah' in a tuxedo? It's a 'no' from me.

Had John not met Yoko, who knows? It's even possible that the Beatles wouldn't have split! However, I can't see John as a lounge singer.

Hey who knows what John would be into now. If you would have told me BoB would be doing songs like this now, I wouldn't have agreed either.

Do you think John would have either taken up acting again or pursued his fine art.

I doubt acting, unless it was like a Monty Python type thing. I'm sure he might have done a few more of his witty art books.

The MAN did the backing for this 2007 remix of her 1973 song.
