I was looking up something the other day and I can't believe that Linda has been gone, this year, 18 years! It just seems like it's only been a few years to me, but not 18! And I also can't believe there has never been a thread about her on the Forum! (at least I couldn't find any).

In 1963 Jan and Dean had a hit record called "Linda." Turns out that the songwriter, Jack Lawrence, had written the song back in the 1940's and titled it as a birthday gift for his lawyer's daughter Linda. Turns out the lawyer was Lee Eastman, and the daughter was a future Beatle wife.
So, a year before the Beatles hit it big in the US, a Beatle wife was already immortalized in song.

I have no problem with her background singing in the Wings! I always admired her.
Hope she's RIP!

When Paul married her I had my doubts because I liked Jane, but as the years went by I seen what he saw in her. She probably was the best Beatle wife of them all. And I really miss her now.

Rocky, I agree with your best Beatle wife opinion. Or at least being the best Beatle first wife. All three of the other Beatle first wives divorced their husbands, but not Linda. It was indeed death that parted her and Paul. "'Til death do us part" indeed.

Found this one marked as Linda & James, and with what little hair he has there he still has more than in the picture with the 5th Beatle. lol And I was just thinking, if he would wear a Sir Paul wig he'd just look like his old man!! Did he lose weight or something, since I last seen him?

Pretty sure that bathroom picture was Mary. She's the only dark-haired McCartney child. As far as the hairstyle goes, they're not combing their hair in the same direction, because the bathroom picture is a reverse mirror image. It's a picture of a bathroom mirror, taken by Linda, so the image is reversed.
Unless it was developed in reverse.
