Was even more shocked of this one than I was for Lemmy. With Lemmy, he didn't treat his body right and also died a few days after his Birthday, just like Bowie!
RIP

It seems that time is winding up for a lot of the second and third wave of rockers. Two Beatles are gone. Two Pink Floyds are gone. Two of The Who. The entire Jimi Hendrix Experience is gone. Jack Bruce. Chris Squire. Even bloody Joe Strummer and Scott Weiland checked out by 50 years old! I'm just in awe of the number of Rolling Stones still going, and active!

It will be a big shocker when Macca goes. Same with Neil Young. The list goes on.........

I think with Bowie it was such a shock because no one suspected he was so ill. I think if you count the birth of the UK music scene in a global sense from 1958/1972 many of the stars are still with us (in some cases despite themselves.)
I do that generation were phenomenal.

Mr Kite I wondered if you still have 2 options for tracking a vinyl copy. Does Bowie have an official site as many have online stores as part of the. Also I know if the shelves of record shops did not have a copy of the record I wanted I would ask the counter staff if the record was in print in the catalogue. Great telephone style directory that listed all the versions and releases past and present still in print. As you have access to a shop they might have a computerised version.
Not sure if these ideas are useful but hope they are.

When this book comes up for auction someday, I wonder what it will sell for? (Me being a book collector) It was used as a prop in both the videos 'Blackstar' & 'Lazarus'.

Thanks for the tips my friends I`m going to be patient and hang on and use my Record voucher . The vinyl industry probably hasn't had a run on a record like this since the old Beatle days! Their machines are probably running 24/7!
