What was I thinking? He played lead on Dig A Pony too. John got to play lead on Get Back.
I don't think Hendrix actually took delivery of that Strat. It was made for him but he never actually got it. I think it was because he died?

Come on! Backing vocal isn't lead vocal. That's a terrible question! I think he only sang 'oh yeah'!

That was the 'trick' part of the question. He didn't sing at all, he probably didn't even want to be up on that f*cking roof with the rest of them!!

Well it was a very cold day in January! Would he have looked any happier in the Roman Ampitheatre or Pyramids? Don't think so!

Correct! George was at odds with Paul at this time. I don't think he wanted to do anything Paul suggested and the rooftop was one of those, plus all those other concerts Paul suggested that you said, George just didn't want to do and even went to John about it. I think it took years for Paul to get back in good favor with George. Even if you watch when they did get back to make that video in the 90's and you see Paul hug George, George seemed to have that 'yeah ok' attitude towards it.

Although the strat was finished in April '70 and Jimi died in Sept. he nver did receive the strat. And another one of those 'famous' guitars that nobody knows where it is today!!

No doubt Paul was a pain and demanding in the band and there was some justifiable resentment from George. However I do have some sympathy with Paul around the time of the Let It Be sessions. I think too much was made of the 'George being told not to play guitar' episode. If I had written a song and someone in the band wanted to put something in that didn't work or knew the song shouldn't go like then I would ask them not to play it. It's clear in the Let It Be film that Paul wasn't trying to get at George but Paul could have said anything at that time and George would have took offence. The truth is long before this both George and John were fed up with being a Beatle and could see the end in sight and accepted it (almost relished it) were Paul hadnt accepted it and would have continued.
I think it's interesting to note that although it's often commented on that Paul and George didn't get on, it was Paul who always worked a lot with George on his songs when most of the time John chose not to even turn up to the studio if they were recording one of George's. I'm not trying to paint Paul as innocent and all good because he most certainly wasn't.
Sorry, went off topic a bit there!!

In the Anthology footage of the '90s, it's so easy to see that Paul is STILL nine months older than George.

OK a very Easy Trivia question this time: Since George's 'wouldbe' 69th birthday is coming up- What gift did Brian Epstein get George for his 21st birthday in 1964? (The answer is in the book 'A Cellerful of Noise" by Brian Epstein.)

And we all know that Leggy tragically accepted a teaching post in Australia.

Check this out! The entire script to one of the funniest films ever. It's actually A Cellar Full of Goys! A Cellar Full of Boys sounds more 'appropriate' and funnier! www.rutles.org/rstory.html

He may have given George a gold lighter too, but my answer was a Rolex watch and there was a pic of George pointing to it and Mal pointing to his watch (probably a Timex/Smiths.lol) I was on a wristwatch forum one time and they were discussing the watches the Beatles wore and what I found interesting is that with Sir Paul and all his money he wears the cheapest watch. But I guess if it gets him to the church on time it's good enough for him.

How about 'the last time the Beatles played live before an audience in Liverpool'? That's a pretty easy one to look up, but who knows without looking it up? lol I didn't know, I would have guessed sometime in '66. (The answer tomorrow if anyone cares.)
