So we are here. Our good friend. The End, has kindly set up a board for us to discuss the book. Cheers Bud It is not secret, but we can let others know that it contains details from within the book, that way they can choose whether or not to read in here yet until they have read the book. So lets get started Is the book any good? Is it what you thought it would be? Has it surprised you in any way? Do you like the photographs? Have I done the lads proud? Or just ask your own questions.

We still have the other Hurricanes thread for General discussion of the guys. Lets not forget about that thread as it is a complete classic.

Ok. I am curious about the photograph of Lu playing the Tea Chest Base.
A is that the Hi Fi's; if so is that Ty seated at the left of the image.
Yes I love it and the photographs are wonderful (one gripe where are the images of long haired Rory) Love the stories and you can tell Lu wanted to place on record how proud he was of the band and his mates.
I also love that you have not done a word for word Tom Egbers book. Both stand as testament to Rory and the band. Could you imagine how much stuff you would have had if Ty, Johnny and Rory were about.
The photographs are amazing and I think you are fair to the Beatles as well. Interested about Johnny G regarding George as the one you would not want to have a fight with.
I have such a greater understanding of Ringo since I have read about RSATH. I can only imagine the fun it was for any musuician to be in a band during that period.

Hi Pothos. No that is not the Hi Fi's. And Ty is not on the pic. It is 1957 and they are all school friends of Lou. Did you see the lad in the middle playing a bin ha ha? They came first in the Butlins contest and won £25, a huge amount back then.
Long haired Rory, the pics were too blurred.
Tom did us proud with his book. Mine is just another one to remember the lads..We need more. There is an Italian one as well.
Ringo was good Pals with them all, he worked Harder with them than with The Beatles.
Glad you liked it. I thought it might be rubbish ha ha.

They sure had fun, some very funny stories in there. Rory in the wardrobe, I could not stop laughing for ages when Lou told me it. He was laughing himself, in fact he went into fits of laughter with a big red face. This was 55 years ago and he is still laughing about it.

As mentioned previously, I love the book and think Ant has done an outstanding job. The fact that it is endorsed by Iris, and has contributions from Lou/Wally says it all. Also like the previously unseen photos, they really add to the story.

It was important to me that their story as individuals was told, and that Lou and Ty were given a voice. I hope I achieved that.
Anyone who has read the end of the book will understand just what these guys mean to me.

May I add a mention To Jamo and Jimmy Tushingham. They gave a lot of help with the book. Jimmy was brilliant as he filled in a lot of info after 1963.

Well, I don't have a Kindle... , but I'll certainly look into this book once it's published. Again, it sounds interesting. A very good job.

Well, if it can't be put on the television or internet, I'm afraid I'm out of luck. But I'll certainly check it out once published.
BTW, is this your first book?
